Job Description

Gaming Innovation Group is looking for a qualified and motivated individual to join our Sports department as a .Net Tech Lead. 

As a Tech Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming one of our existing PHP development teams to .Net.  Your responsibilities will include guiding, training, and empowering the team, ensuring the seamless adoption of .Net technologies while following industry best practices.

Position Overview:

  • Lead and manage a team of developers, ensuring timely delivery of tasks. 
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the development team in transitioning from PHP to .Net.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with architects and management to define and lead technical strategies and project implementation. 
  • Develop project plans, set realistic timelines, and allocate tasks to resources effectively.

Requirements: 

  • Advanced proficiency in the latest .NET Technologies, including .NET Core, WebAPIs, .Net 6 & 7. 
  • Extensive experience with microservices architecture. 
  • Hands-on expertise with event-driven microservices using Kafka or RabbitMQ, and Microsoft Orleans, utilising various communication ports like REST, Events, and RPC.
  • Deep knowledge of source control and GIT Flow, complemented by experience with collaboration tools like JIRA.
  • Strong understanding of SOLID Principles and Design Patterns.
  • Strong skills in multi-threading, concurrency, and performance optimisation.
  • Proven track record in debugging, performance profiling, and optimisation, demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Solid understanding of observability principles and tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Considerable experience with client/server or N-tier architectures and object-oriented/service-oriented development.
  • Experience working in Agile and SCRUM methodology.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong grasp of the software development cycle, enabling effective navigation and contribution throughout the process.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or similar. 
  • Exceptional development, time management, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Previous experience in the iGaming industry, particularly with a sports-betting platform provider, is highly desirable.
