Its media app ‘theScore’ is one of the most popular in North America, delivering fans highly personalized live scores, news, stats, and betting information from their favorite teams, leagues, and players. theScore’s sports betting app ‘theScore Bet Sportsbook & Casino’ delivers an immersive and holistic mobile sports betting and iCasino experience. theScore Bet is currently live in the Company's home province of Ontario. theScore also creates and distributes innovative digital content through its web, social and esports platforms.

About the Role & Team

Our mission on the Web Platform team is to empower and enable our web developers to craft seamless and engaging web experiences throughout our product suites.  We supply the essential building blocks - frameworks, tools, educational resources and code - required by web development teams to maintain and scale our web applications as we expand our feature sets and grow the business.  As a Technical Product Manager on this team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with web developers, dive into the cutting-edge technology they utilize and help shape our web technology strategy and vision.  

About the Work

As a Technical Product Manager on the Web Platform team you will:

  • Define the product vision and strategy for the team, aligning with the company’s overall goals and objectives 
  • Develop short and long term roadmaps and manage the full product lifecycle – from ideation, design, requirements definition, through to delivery 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to drive large scale and complex technical initiatives 
  • Facilitate day-to-day agile development processes for the team 
  • Prioritize technical features based on market research, developer feedback and business objectives
  • Gather and communicate technical requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Coordinate release cycle of internal tools and manage cross team dependencies
  • Other duties as required

About You

  • 3-5 years of product management experience in a technical environment 
  • Background in computer science, business, IT, or related field
  • Good understanding of web technologies and architecture  - (React, typescript, HTML, CSS, GraphQL, Responsive Design, Component Libraries, etc.) 
  • Strong written & oral communication skills to be able to communicate and align business and engineering stakeholders 
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Must be a team player and self-starter

Nice to haves

  • Experience with Datadog/Dynatrace and their RUM products 
  • Experience with Design Systems as well as iOS & Android technologies
