What You'll DoDay to DayStrategic Program Leadership
Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to define goals, roadmaps, and success metrics for high-impact, cross-functional initiativesDrive strategic programs that enhance engineering and product operational efficiencyDevelop and execute comprehensive program plans, including project charters, business cases, milestones, and risk assessmentsLead execution across engineering, product, and business teams, ensuring timely delivery and cross-team coordinationIdentify and mitigate risks proactively, ensuring accountability and alignment across all stakeholdersLeverage Agile and Scrum methodologies to facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning across teamsManage program tracking and reporting using tools like Jira, Confluence, and other project management platforms
Chief of Staff Responsibilities
Support Product and Engineering directors with strategic planning, meeting preparation, agenda development, pre-reads, and follow-up trackingOwn executive communications: draft presentations, progress updates, and stakeholder reports for leadership and cross-functional teamsFacilitate recurring check-ins, progress reviews, and decision-making forums across product and engineeringDrive execution of department-wide events (e.g., All Hands, planning sessions): content development, presentations, and logistics
Technical Implementation & Change Management
Lead the implementation of new systems and tools across the product and engineering organizationDevelop and execute change management strategies in alignment with [solidcore]'s business objectivesCoach and consult teams to adopt new ways of working, tools, and processesChampion adoption of engineering and product best practices, workflows, and digital tools
Data-Driven Decision Making
Analyze engineering, product, and business data to produce actionable insights and support informed decision-makingProvide strategic and tactical thought leadership leveraging data and experience to influence cross-functional alignmentIdentify opportunities to improve processes in planning, execution, quality, and deliveryServe as the subject matter expert, translating technical concepts into clear, actionable updates for stakeholdersRequired Qualifications5–8 years of experience in program management, technical operations, or technical project managementProven track record leading cross-functional programs with complex interdependencies in a technology environmentStrong understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks with hands-on experience facilitating sprints, standups, and retrospectivesProficiency with project management and collaboration tools, including Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar platformsDeep understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologiesExceptional analytical skills with a high level of attention to detailOutstanding written and verbal communication skills, especially for executive and cross-functional audiencesExperience working closely with engineering, product, and business teams in agile environmentsComfortable with ambiguity and skilled at bringing structure to evolving programsStrong sense of urgency and ability to independently drive initiatives to completionMust be local to the Arlington/DMV area[solidcore] is a national boutique fitness company with 100+ studios across the country.
