THE ROLE: Sr Sales Planning Director - Temporary

This role is partial coverage for a paternity leave during a critical, planning time of year.  This role will be for 12-16 weeks leading up to our 2025 Annual Sales Release.  Core focus will be on the evolution and enhancement of our go-to-market strategy across all classes of Trade for both the OLLY & SPV brands.  This individual will help in building our Annual Sales Release which includes guidance on Assortment, Pricing, Merchandising and Promotion.  A heavy emphasis for this role will be on Pricing and Promotion.  Through data-driven insights, need this person to provide thorough recommendations on promotional sequencing and guardrails along with pricing guidance by channel.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Developing our annual Go-To-Market playbook for the Field Sales organization that includes priorities, promotional guidance and pricing guardrails by channel 
  • Build a deep understanding of promotional effectiveness through analysis for all VMS brands across channels to create the most effective Annual Sales plan ensuring the financial objectives of the company are met.  
  • Through analysis, develop a strong point-of-view and vision for price pack architecture that will mitigate channel conflict while simultaneously meeting topline and profitability objectives for the Operating Companies. Collaborate with the VP of Sales Strategy to solidify pricing framework that will be implemented in 2025+

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED

  • 15+ years relevant CPG experience 
  •  Experience creating and deploying go-to-market strategies for complex businesses
  •  Sales experience across multiple channels required 
  •  Vitamin Category experience is preferred
  •  Strong analytical experience, pulling, interpreting and analyzing data (IRI expertise specifically is required) 
  •  Need a detail-oriented, passionate individual who is eager to build strategy from the ground up leveraging data as the guide
  •  Need independent strategy enthusiast that requires limited guidance and delivers outstanding results 
  •  Due to the nature of the work and role, the expectation would be that this individual works directly with the VP of Sales Strategy on a day-to-day basis.  Additionally, connections with other Sales Strategy team members could be required for this work so availability/working hours would be between 9am-5pm EST.

LOCATION: Remote - EST time zone preferred

HOURS: 40 hrs/wk

Duration: 12-16 weeks 

Rate: $100-$125/hour
