We are looking for a Hardware Test Engineer for Materials to strengthen our HW testing team in Oulu. As a HW Test Engineer for Materials, your main responsibility will be to define and develop material test and validation strategies and test methods as well as execute tests for our products. The work will be done in close collaboration with our R&D teams which will offer you the opportunity to use your effective teamwork skills across different levels in our dynamic multinational organisation.

Location for this position is in Oulu.

What You Will Do

• Prepare and present concise and detailed test plans and test reports to stakeholders
• Execute material testing for our products -  including Mechanical and Environment testing
• Develop and drive detailed validation and reliability test strategies and test methods for our new and existing products
• Support Failure Analysis and Root Cause Analysis on issues
• Work with external labs to coordinate required testing
• Ensure the validation lab and equipment is maintained and organised

We would love to have You on our team, if you have:

• B.Sc or M.Sc  in Engineering, Materials, Mechanical, Electrical or related field
• At least 5 years Experience performing  testing for different materials and also including Mechanical Stress Tests, Shock/Drop/Vibration Testing and Environmental Testing preferable for consumer electronics products
• Knowledge of materials fundamentals, characterization and analysis methods such as microscopy and materials analysis
• Competence to specify ageing and accelerated lifetime tests
• Competence in failure analysis and corrosion mechanisms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to use statistical tools and techniques.
• Independent  way of working
• Fluent written and spoken English
• A Collaborative, proactive, "let’s get things done” attitude.
