Note to candidates: We are open to remote candidates for this position. If hired, you would be required to travel into our Austin, TX HQ at least one week out of each month. 

Who You Are:

As Nutrabolt’s Trade Deductions Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Deductions Team who is responsible for reconciling and applying trade and non-trade related deductions within our systems. This role will work collaboratively with the Accounting, Finance, Sales, Supply Chain teams, and our retail partners to help improve trade ROI, provide spend reporting and reduce non-trade charges.

This role is eligible to participate in our Management Bonus Plan.             

What You're Good At:

  • Managing a team, with direct focus on promoting effective delegation and staff utilization, professional development, and cross-training
  • Overseeing all departmental activities, such as deduction application and dispute resolution to ensure that they are completed accurately and executed in a timely manner to support the monthly financial close
  • Determining strategies for transaction processing efficiencies and leading implementation of new processes and system functionality
  • Managing invalid deductions and tracking disputes with customers for repayment
  • Monitoring compliance of accounting policies and internal controls and supporting internal and external audits
  • Working with cross-functional teams responsible for fielding process related questions and being a subject matter expert
  • Creating and delivering to management reporting metrics to ensure teams are functioning effectively as well as providing month-end reporting such as (but not limited to) actual spend GL details, open deductions reporting, non-trade actuals (shortages, damages, shipping fines) to support the monthly financial close
  • Providing backup support for AR (cross-training, coverage)

What You Contribute: 

  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in order-to-cash/trade deductions, accounting, or financial analytical role within the CPG industry (required)
  • Basic accounting and P&L understanding
  • Advanced skills within MS Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc)
  • Experience working with large ERP software (Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, JD Edwards, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Exposure/Proficiency in Trade Management Systems such as AFS, Blacksmith, etc.
  • High Radius Cash App/Deductions Platform experience preferred
  • If not located in Austin, TX, travel will be required monthly to our headquarters.
