About This Role

We are looking for an experienced Regional Sales and Marketing Senior Director to drive sales results and be responsible for the overall success of the business in the UK.

Candidate will be a strategist and a leader able to steer the company’s day-to-day commercial operations while also implementing its vision, mission, and long-term goals. This role will require the right candidate to build a strategy that will allow the company to grow and scale quickly, while helping the commercial team on the ground manage a current base book of business. As the organization grows, this role will shift more towards a strategic role, while building the infrastructure and support systems to manage and grow the commercial side.

This is a full-time, remote working in the UK position. 

Responsibilities:

Commercial Leadership

  • Partner with the Executive Team in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the expansion of ZIO in the UK
  • Identify, assess, and inform the Executive team of internal and external issues that affect the organization
  • Drive and represent iRhythm’s values and mission
  • Foster effective teamwork between the UK commercial organization- communicate on a regular basis with the UK team to keep them engaged and recognize talents
  • Through inclusive Leadership foster a true teamwork performance leading with a growth-mindset
  • Create strong partnership with the U.S. organization
  • Recruit, coach, and develop organizational talent.
  • Provide timely and accurate feedback and reporting.
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • Create an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Represent iRhythm in the UK together with other UK Senior Leadership team members at all official engagements and activities to enhance the company profile
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to the Executive Team to keep them aware of developments within the industry and to ensure the appropriate policies are developed to meet the company’s mission and objectives
  • Provide guidance to the Sales and Marketing team towards innovative procurement, value-based agreements, risk-sharing models and more- ensuring flexibility in market to deliver iRhythm superior service to the UK Health care institutions.

Sales

  • Ensure the assigned region meets or exceeds sales and profitability objectives
  • Work with Territory Managers to identify and evaluate market opportunities and sales potential and to establish and achieve their annual sales objectives.
  • Manage and coach the activities of Territory Managers and other field personnel within the region.
  • Manage, support, and collaborate with strategic partnerships and work together as a team to drive sales within the region
  • Work in collaboration Legal to negotiate contracts with external customers.
  • Keep the Company informed of market dynamics and competitive activity.
  • Establish and maintain effective formal and informal links with major customers, relevant government agencies like the NHS, key decision-makers, and other stakeholders, to exchange information and views and to ensure that iRhythm UK is providing the appropriate range and quality of services
  • Represent the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, government departments and other key contacts to secure the most effective contract terms for the Company

Operational

  • Develop a 5-year strategic plan and annual business plan; monitor progress against these plans to ensure that iRhythm UK maintains its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible
  • Working in partnership with iRhythm US Marketing, develop and maintain an effective marketing and public relations strategy to promote the ZIO service to broadest base of patients in the UK
  • Monitor company-wide indicators such as market share and profitability.
  • Monitor external environment in area of technical or professional responsibility.
  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly reports to the Executive Team
  • Set Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to monitor all commercial progress on a quarterly basis. Follow up as appropriate and ensure achievement of goals

Financial Planning and Management

  • Prepare, gain acceptance from the International GM and the CFO, and monitor the implementation of the annual budget to ensure that budget targets are met, that revenue flows are maximized and that fixed costs are minimized
  • Approve expenditures within the authority delegated by the International GM and CFO
  • Provide the Executive Team with comprehensive, regular reports on the revenues and expenditure of the UK organization

Leader DNA & Capabilities:

  • Degree qualifications and extensive experience in business development, market planning and competitive intelligence, and project management within healthcare and medical device industry.
  • Proven record in negotiating transactions/licensing agreements in the medical / healthcare or similar industry, including deal origination, analysis and evaluation, structure, execution, and post-deal management.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to successfully manage both client and internal relationships required to execute licensing transactions.
  • Strong network of key decision makers throughout the medical / healthcare or similar industry, in the UK.
  • Successful experience in working in multi-international environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit when prospecting for new clients.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to develop relationships at all levels in an organization
  • Excellent English, and comfortable / motivated by working in a matrix, international organization
  • Creative thinker, willing to try new approaches and think out-of-the-box
  • Learning agility – quickly learn and understand innovation such as digital health technology.
  • Lead through ambiguity – be able to lead with ambiguous environment and develop scenario-based plans.
  • Persuasive communication – possess expert level competency in negotiation and communication upstream and downstream for both written and verbal communication.
  • Professional and managerial courage with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Embody and promote values of Teamwork, Trust, Collaboration, and Innovation

About you: 

Required:

  • Master’s degree
  • Extensive senior level experience in sales and marketing in healthcare
  • A proven record of success in senior level commercial management
  • Strong management skills with experience in P&Ls, budgeting, site management and resource management
  • High level of commercial awareness
  • Strong and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build a cohesive team comprised of staff with a variety of backgrounds
  • Ability to assess and develop people to for growth and higher-level opportunities
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complexity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to public groups and or Executive Team
  • Proven experience working with executive audiences, communicating company and industry wide topics, and getting involved with the details and managing the challenges that exist in every part of a complex organization.
  • High degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, decision-making and self-direction to accomplish multiple goals of client practices and solutions
  • In depth understanding of challenges that face health plans and health care in general is required
  • Willingness to travel when required
