To date we have built iOS, Android and Apple watch apps that help people achieve their goals by coaching them through the full journey and syncing to their favorite fitness devices.

Requirements

We’re looking for an exceptional, empathetic, proactive and driven individual who’s ready to drive exceptional relationships with our top ambassadors in the United States. You will play a pivotal role in helping us build an industry-leading ambassador program, sourcing and owning the relationships with our top US ambassadors, as well as supporting the ambassador associates to build out a network of brilliant smaller creators.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience building strong relationships with creators, who can take a leading role in ensuring our top ambassadors LOVE working with us.

As an Ambassador Manager, your role will include:

  1. Sourcing new US Ambassadors (40%): You’ll work closely with our Head of Ambassadors to source new US ambassadors who will train with Runna for their training goals and expertly showcase the value of the app to their audience. This will include driving initial conversations, building compelling commercial proposals and showing them the value of partnering with Runna.
  2. Owning the relationships (50%): Working closely with our GM of North America and Head of Ambassadors to ensure we’re building strong, empathetic relationships with our top ambassadors. This will be a blend of remote and in-person management (e.g. coffees, runs). This will include managing the relationship, building engaging content plans, ensuring they are getting the most out of their training, and creating exciting opportunities for them to engage with the brand (e.g. race trips).
  3. Supporting event activations in and around Boston and NYC (10%)
    1. Supporting our GM of NA, ambassador and partnerships teams to host flagship race weekend activations and ambassador race trips (e.g. NYC Marathon weekend).

The Ambassador Manager role is a brilliant opportunity to take a leading role in shaping our US ambassador program as it continues to evolve. As the person owning the relationships with our top US ambassadors, you will get great exposure to industry-leading creators in the space. Given the stage that we’re at if you exceed in this role you could have the opportunity to be a future channel leader!

Requirements

A degree isn’t required for this role, but if you don’t have a degree, we do want to see proven experience for this role such as work experience or personal projects.

About you:

  • 1-2 years experience managing creator relationships (bonus points if you’ve worked in the fitness industry!). Proven ability to build strong, empathetic relationships with creators, talent agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build compelling commercial proposals and drive negotiations. You know your way around a spreadsheet and can analyse the expected ROI from new content partnerships.
  • Proven experience building content briefs for creators. You understand what drives great quality content and you’re able to create exciting briefs that get the most out of creator relationships.
  • You’re a “doer”; not just a “thinker”. You’re hands-on and want to roll up your sleeves / get stuck in (you have a real ‘go get it’ attitude).
  • You’re organized, efficient and can execute at pace. You can manage lots of spinning plates and prioritize effectively.
  • You’re a fast learner, see feedback as a gift and constantly think about how you can improve.
  • You’re fun, personable and love running! You engage with running content on social media and know who the best accounts are in the industry.
  • You’re Boston-based (or able to work in person 2+ days per week), and you’re happy to travel to New York semi-regularly to meet our ambassadors.

Interview process

Our aim is to keep the interview process as straightforward and enjoyable as possible, and will consist of the following stages:

  1. Kick off! (Please apply now via Workable)
  2. Introductory chat with Lou GM, North America (30-minute video call)
  3. Take Home Task (~60 minutes)
  4. Interview with Caitlin, Head of Ambassadors (60 minutes video call)
  5. Office visit (in-person chat with Lou and the rest of the team)

Once the process is finished, we promise to let you know our decision as soon as possible.

Benefits

We offer a salary of $50,000 - $65,000 (depending on experience), plus equity in the form of Runna stock options.

We'll be growing our package of benefits over time. We currently offer:

Please note that the actual salary for this position may vary, as it is dependent on various factors including but not limited to experience, location, and market dynamics.
