Forest Hills Stadium is located centrally in Forest Hills, within the borough of Queens, NY, a short distance from frequent service by several rail lines. During its first heydey in the 1960s and 70s, the stadium hosted The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Barbra Streisand, and Simon and Garfunkel. Today, icons such as Paul Simon, Alabama Shakes, and Mumford & Sons are back onstage. The stadium operators are proud of their long term vision to bring Forest Hills Stadium to its rightful position in the upper echelon of New York and American musical experience.

USHER

Position Summary:

As a member of Guest Services, the Usher is responsible for providing excellent customer service at all events, while assisting with directions and other inquiries. The Usher is also responsible for greeting guests, working with security to seat guests and control access points, and helping to solve issues.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist guests with directional and informational inquiries by demonstrating strong knowledge of the facility and event(s).
  • Communicate in a professional manner with other venue staff, guests, clients and supervisors.
  • Effectively and graciously accommodate guests with disabilities, while complying with facility/event ADA requirements.
  • Display a calm, kind and attentive demeanor when rectifying issues with guests.
  • Check guest tickets upon entry to the facility/venue or section. Review guest tickets to direct them to the appropriate area.
  • Control access points to prevent unauthorized entries.
  • Report any activities or behaviors that conflict with facility/event policy or code of conduct to supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • A minimum of 0-1 years of related work experience
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Exemplify a strong commitment and willingness to provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance (must wear assigned uniform provided by management during all shifts)
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sound judgement; able to make reasonable and rational decisions
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Available part-time

Pay Scale: $18.00

USHER COORDINATOR

Position Summary:

The Usher Coordinator helps oversee the VIP & Usher staff on the day of show. Strong leadership skills and a keen eye for details are essential to this role. The Usher Coordinator will help carry out the day of logistics for the venue’s Front of House operations and coordinate with various venue departments.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage VIP and Usher Staff, including check-in, staff deployment, and pre-show meeting notes.
  • Manage ADA seating section, ensuring effective accommodation of guests with disabilities, while complying with facility/event ADA requirements.
  • Manage stadium entry lines alongside security, assisting with directional inquiries by demonstrating strong knowledge of the facility and event(s).
  • Communicate in a professional manner with other venue staff, guests, clients and supervisors.
  • Display a calm, kind and attentive demeanor when rectifying issues with guests.
  • Report any activities or behaviors that conflict with facility/event policy or code of conduct to supervisor or Event Manager.

Pay Scale: $20.96 - $26.00

Bonus:  This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
