Hinge Health Hybrid Model:
We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 2 days/week. We will be expanding to 3 days/week in the office beginning April of 2024.

About the Role
We’re seeking a UX Design Manager who will bring operational excellence and drive quality execution across teams and locales to ensure business objectives are met through the delivery of user-centric experiences that are specific to Hinge Health's internal and external audience(s). You will ensure design deliverables meet a high-quality bar and are tracked alongside partner teams and develop reporting mechanisms to keep teams held accountable and aligned. You will directly work with the site leaders to ensure the design function is integrated into rituals and design environments yield quality outcomes, team growth and morale. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to advocate for quality, experimentation, and delivery across a wide-range of member facing, tools, and systems. An ideal candidate, holds a strong product design experience and visual bar to aid in the creative direction to execute on the overall product strategy, drive growth and revenue, and deliver exceptional user experiences. This role is crucial for Hinge Health’s success in developing a center of excellence in India and building a strong culture. 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Primary focus on CareHub with creative support across Treatment Variety, mWeb, and Design Systems (3 directs reports with room to grow)
  • Develop and conduct local design operations, including reports to leadership
  • Maintain strong ties with US teams through strong communication skills and ability to quickly translate feedback and requirements 
  • Drive cultural awareness, advocacy and communication between R&D Hubs
  • Grow and support career growth and performance with existing design team
  • Aid in local hiring and resourcing, including identifying and managing contractors. 

  • WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 8+ years of product/service design experience, 2-4 years of people management with at least 3+ designers
  • Ability to travel to and from India and USA at least 2x a year for 1 week intervals..
  • Experience working on a two-sided marketplace organization (where there are two types of users: members/patients and doctors/caregivers, buyers and sellers, etc.)
  • Worked across time-zones, ideally with teams in the USA with clear communication mechanisms
  • A portfolio demonstrating: shipment of multiple products successfully; strong expertise in applying interaction design patterns to solve complex workflows, as well as in visual design, information hierarchy, layout, composition, and typography
  • Expert understanding of visual systems and practices, including layout, iconography, typography and have a curiosity and eye for pushing visual design in interfaces forward
  • Experience in leading product design from opportunity development, to concept, to shipment
  • Strong facilitations skills leading groups through idea generation and decision making processes
  • Proven ability to communicate deep design thinking at all levels of the organization
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in interaction design, industrial design,  product design, service design, human-computer interaction, or equivalent experience
