As a UX/UI Engineer at Veda, you will be a key member of our SciTech department and Engineering team tasked with owning product design and feature development. This is an opportunity to apply your hybrid skills in UX/UI design methodology along with frontend application development to next-generation projects at the forefront of Veda’s suite of automation products. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical proficiency, and attention to detail to ensure our products meet high standards of usability and design consistency.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web applications that align with user needs, business goals, and brand identity.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and analysis to inform design decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, customer-facing stakeholders, and engineering management to translate requirements into intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain our company’s design system to ensure consistency and efficiency across all products and platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and establish clear design guidelines, reusable patterns, and extensible components.
  • Advocate for the adoption of the design system and provide guidance and support to other teams in its implementation.
  • Build modular and reusable components using React.js to implement front-end features and functionality.
  • Write clean, well-documented and maintainable code that follows industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Work closely with backend and fullstack developers to integrate front-end components with internal APIs and server-side functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth performance and functionality of web applications.
  • Constantly seek ways to make significant impacts on process improvement, documentation and cross functional communication.


  • About You:
  • You have a passion for creating intuitive and visually appealing user experiences.
  • You have shipped production React applications where user experience and stability were key requirements.
  • You recognize what it takes to add value as a member of high-performing engineering teams. You can identify key success factors, inspire a culture of learning, and intervene when goals are not met.
  • You have a background in product development, and a love for delivering solutions to business problems on a fast-paced team.
  • You have the most fun when you get to share ideas and solve complex problems by applying excellent organizational skills and collaborative values.
  • You’re comfortable working throughout the Software Development Lifecycle:  gathering and refining requirements, designing solutions, testing changes, and delivering in collaboration with Engineering Management, Product, and Customer-facing teams.
