Job Description

Job Description

We are seeking a visionary product leader to define and deliver a new generation of Gracenote products. As VP of Product AI, you'll be responsible for setting the product strategy, roadmap, delivery, and ultimate commercial success of new products that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs), Vision Language Models (VLMs), and Small Language Models (SLMs). You will manage a team of product experts in their field, and report to Gracenote’s SVP of Product.

Gracenote AI is an exciting new growth vector for Gracenote. This role will be hugely impactful in shaping commercial strategy, product strategy, pricing, and building out an organization to scale Gracenote AI over the coming years, and will play a significant role in how Gracenote products help the world's largest CTV apps and platforms power search and discovery.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and contribute directly to the success of this new product line. This role requires an experienced leader with a solutions-oriented mindset who understands the potential of Gen AI technologies in the entertainment metadata industry and can execute to fruition.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Gracenote AI roadmap. Define and deliver Gen AI products and platforms that anticipate the needs of the entertainment industry, with a specific focus on Video and Sports in Connected Television (CTV).
  • Manage a team of talented product managers, aligning Gracenote’s expertise in entertainment metadata with the rapidly evolving capabilities of Gen AI.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional stakeholders and external partners to evangelize and articulate Gracenote’s AI vision and strategy.
  • Coordinate with Engineering colleagues and counterparts to ensure development resources are aligned with product priorities; collaborate with engineering, data science, UX, commercial, and external partners to deliver exceptional products.
  • Engage with customers to understand their problems and ensure we are building products with strong commercial potential.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years experience leading technology product teams.
  • Demonstrated and detailed knowledge of the capability, potential, and pitfalls of Gen AI tech – specifically LLMs, MCP, VLMs, and SLMs.
  • Applied experience in creating products that leverage the above technologies to address domain-specific use cases, ideally employing large-scale, authoritative datasets.
  • Strong executive disposition and communication skills, with the ability to build trust in evolving data and technology environments.
  • A team-champion and mentor, with a history of building and leading, high-performance product teams, sharing knowledge, and instilling best practice.
  • Experience in understanding and overcoming the business and technical challenges of the CTV/entertainment metadata space.
