Overview

Tonal is seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President, Product to lead our innovative software and hardware development product teams. As a cutting-edge technology company at the forefront of AI, with a wealth of unique data, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible. In this key leadership role, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our product strategy to drive growth and technological advancement.

What You Will Do
  • Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and communicate a compelling product vision aligned with the company's overall strategy. Leverage your industry expertise to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in both software and hardware offerings.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of product managers and analysts. Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development to ensure the team's success.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Content, Design, Data Science, and Marketing to ensure seamless execution of product initiatives. Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages creativity and excellence.
  • AI Integration: Drive the integration of AI technologies into our product portfolio, leveraging the extensive and unique data sets at our disposal. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, ensuring our products remain at the forefront of AI innovation.
  • Product Development Lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to market release. Prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions about product development, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Financial Management: Work closely with the executive team to set and manage product budgets. Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics to ensure the profitability and success of the product portfolio.
  • Customer Focus: Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points. Use customer feedback and market insights to continuously iterate and improve our products, ensuring they meet and exceed customer expectations.

  • 15+ years of experience leading high-performing product teams at fast-growing companies
  • An experienced team leader capable of successfully hiring, leading, and developing teams
  • A mentor with a growth mindset and a track record of inspiring your staff to do their best work and grow in their professions 
  • Experience working with large data sets and highly analytical environments
  • Analytically rigorous 
  • An extremely creative thinker, always challenging and improving your work
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesVery high attention to detail and organization
  • Highly effective communicator

  • The range of base salary for the position is between $285,000 - $330,000 USD plus equity and benefits. We take into consideration an individual’s background, experience, and location in determining their salary. This role is also eligible for health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, flexible paid time off, parental leave, and other additional benefits.

Please note that the actual salary for this position may vary, as it is dependent on various factors including but not limited to experience, location, and market dynamics.
