We are the Health and Wellbeing Collective, an exciting new Global Business Unit within Unilever built with a start-up mindset. In North America these include OLLY, Liquid I.V., SmartyPants, Welly, Onnit and Nutrafol.  As part of the Health & Wellbeing Collective, we are building an operational platform to support companies in the Vitamins, Minerals and Supplements (VMS) space called the VMS Co-Op. The VMS Co-Op will host OLLY and SmartyPants and will grow to include other VMS companies and future acquisitions as well.

 SmartyPants is a dynamic and fast-growing Los Angeles based supplement company focused on providing premium all-in-one vitamins for the entire family.  From the start, SmartyPants has been about family, authenticity and a core commitment to our collective well-being.  SmartyPants believes in making it easier to stay healthy by providing best-in-class products that also taste great. We're industry leaders in testing, transparency and advocacy, from sourcing the highest-quality ingredients to testing and packaging.   

 The VMS Co-Op works in an agile and entrepreneurial way, collaboratively within the team and with our Health & Wellbeing colleagues. We work together to look at the big picture strategically as well as roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty. We’re super passionate about the work that we do and we’re on the hunt for a fellow self-starter to add to our unique culture and join our ambitious team. 

 THE ROLE: VICE PRESIDENT SALES – WALMART + CLUB 

Reporting to our Head of U.S Field Sales - Health & Wellbeing, the Vice President of Walmart and Club will serve as a key leader of our H&WC team and will be an important “face of the H&WC brands” to customers. Strategy, leadership, and coaching will be key skills for this role. We need someone who will be a leader of leaders who will see beyond the horizon to find opportunities and anticipate challenges.  The H&WC operating companies including SmartyPants, Onnit, Welly, and OLLY.  Collaboration with Liquid IV is also a key role for the Vice President of Walmart & Club. This role will oversee a team of four, plus broker leadership. 

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead Sales team across all sales efforts in Walmart & Club including but not limited to: Walmart, Sam’s Club, BJ’s, and Costco. 
  • Lead annual ASP collaboration with key stakeholders at Walmart + across our operating companies. 
  • Accountable for overall resource and budgetary management; Identify and ensure appropriate resources dedicated to enable future growth. I.e.: broker support, data platforms, Category Management, Digital growth, and Northwest Arkansas community involvement 
  • Lead Directors and managers in collaboration with our customers to ensure true partnership spirit 
  • Develop and manage strategic planning of annual business at all accounts, providing critical customer input into development of company go-to-market strategies 
  • Build strong external and internal relationships at all levels of management with our customers; specifically executive levels 
  • Lead with VP, Head of Field Sales to develop pricing / financial guidelines for these channels 
  • Manage broker & 3rd party negotiations & relationships to ensure HWC goals are met.
  • Preserve and protect H&WC’s unique premium positioning to deliver overall growth for each brand and their respective categories.
  • Lead annual cross functional planning with key decision makers
  • Recruit, develop and inspire the team; nurture cultural leaders who will make life at H&WC better for all of us! 

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED 

  • 15-20+ years of experience in CPG Sales and/or Retail Merchant/Buyer with a proven track record of success working with multiple top tier retailers 
  • Proven track record of launching and scaling new brands across multiple retailers 
  • Proven ability to build & lead a high-performing sales/broker team, plus building out capabilities as needed to support future growth (5+ years of people leadership experience) 
  • An inclusive leader with strong communication skills, a passion for team development and a high degree of comfort in giving and receiving constructive feedback 
  • Proven ability to work with all levels of leadership + functions across key customers to build best-in-class partnerships 
  • Proven ability to drive eCommerce sales & customer experience 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, tenacity, dependability, integrity, and innovative sensibility 
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally and build capabilities for the entire company 
  • Personally, and professionally motivated to deliver results and get things done 
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking ability 
  • Solid negotiation skills in” getting to yes” with retail partners 
  • Energized and passionate about building a transformational company in today’s marketplace. 
  • Ability to change information into insights for actionable growth 
  • A true “Team Player” who can work cross-functionally to achieve results 
  • Thought leadership that inspires change and value within the organization 

 THE DETAILS 

LOCATION: Northwest Arkansas (Bentonville, Rogers, Fayetteville) 

HOURS: full time, exempt (salaried) 

MANAGER: Head of U.S Field Sales - Health & Wellbeing 

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. 

The pay range for this position is $193,000-$236,000 dependent on experience.
