This position will give you an opportunity to work across all of our growing social media platforms, and influence the future of our coverage. This is a video editor role focussed on short-form editing and pitching ideas and concepts that can work across all of our social media platforms.

Working hand-in-hand with both our editorial content and video departments, you’ll help deliver incredible esports content to our vast social audience. We have a close-knit team that’s always happy to talk gaming, or put together a stack for various titles after work. The job is also a chance to connect with some of the most passionate people in esports about the scenes we all love.

About the Work

  • Maintaining a social media presence that elevates theScore esports’ brand through Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, Twitter etc.
  • Create and develop engaging content while writing scripts for reels, shorts, and other video content on our social media platforms.
  • Film, edit and compose graphics and video to support theScore esports’ content production.
  • Create viral esports content that people enjoy sharing, including video, images, infographics, memes, and animations for our social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the production of high-quality work.
  • Pitch and contribute ideas and concepts for our various social media platforms.
  • Keeping up with latest trends in storytelling, video production, social media and esports.
  • Assist in any other relevant tasks related to video content.
  • Other duties as required.

 

About You

  • Be a fan of all things gaming. Have a thirst for everything and anything related to competitive gaming and the broader gaming world!.
  • Experience with Non-Linear Editing Software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and/or Final Cut Pro).
  • Experience with After Effects and Photoshop is a benefit.
  • Experience with social media platforms, specifically YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter as well as tools such as Tweetdeck.
  • Experience filming, especially in a studio environment, is an asset
  • Ability to write creative and engaging social media posts on our various platforms including captions and headlines. Being a memer is a big plus!
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Available to work weekends and evenings when required.
  • Knowledge of internet pop culture is an asset.

Our salary intelligence, powered by our AI algorithms, has calculated an estimated range for this position between $45,000 - $65,000 . Please note that the actual salary for this position may vary, as it is dependent on various factors including but not limited to experience, location, and market dynamics.
