The Vice President of Global Pharmacy Compliance will play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the global regulatory and compliance strategy for the company’s compounding pharmacies. This executive-level position is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance, and leading PICs, pharmacy licensing,and their respective organizations across all pharmacy locations. The VP, PIC will act as a key liaison with legal and compliance partners to ensure the business objectives align with all relevant domestic and international regulations.
Strategic Leadership: Own and drive the regulatory compliance structure for pharmacy operations, including implementation of standards, policy development, and adherence to evolving state, federal, and international regulations. A member of the Quality Leadership Team.
PIC Oversight and Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and their organizations at each pharmacy location, fostering a consistent, high-compliance operational culture. Representing H&H externally with BoPs and regulatory bodies.
Licensure Maintenance: Ensure continuous and compliant licensure status of all compounding pharmacies (503A and 503B) and staff, through cross-functional planning and collaboration with the licensure and accreditation team.
Regulatory Compliance and Implementation: Monitor, interpret, and implement regulatory and legislative changes across jurisdictions, ensuring timely updates to processes, policies, and systems to maintain full compliance. Working closely with the Quality Unit, including Quality Operations and Quality Systems.
Legal Partnership: Serve as a strategic liaison with internal legal teams to define and support global regulatory positions that drive and protect business initiatives.
Organizational Design: Develop and maintain a scalable and globally consistent organizational structure, including PIC leadership and licensure to support long-term business growth. Working closely with the Quality Unit, including Quality Operations and Quality Systems.
PharmD or equivalent degree required; active pharmacist license in good standing
Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in regulatory pharmacy operations, preferably in compounding
Deep understanding of global pharmacy licensure requirements and regulatory bodies
Proven ability to manage multi-site and multi-national pharmacy operations
Strong strategic and flexible thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management, including working closely with legal, compliance, and executive leadership
Experience in a rapidly scaling healthcare or pharmaceutical organization
Previous experience as Pharmacist In Charge (PIC)
Familiarity with sterile and non-sterile compounding regulations (e.g., USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and GMP)
Global or multinational pharmacy operations experience
