We’re hiring our first VP, Sales – Health Plans to build and scale our payer growth engine nationally. You’ll own how Midi wins and grows partnerships across Blues plans and national and regional payers, from GTM strategy and pipeline development through contracting and expansion.

This is a builder-and-closer role. You’ll personally drive our most important payer opportunities while creating the strategy, team, and sales discipline required to take the business from early traction to meaningful national scale.

What you’ll do:

• Own the Health Plan GTM strategy. Define target markets, segmentation, pricing and contracting approach, and the roadmap for scaling Midi’s payer business.
• Win new payer partnerships. Build relationships and drive complex enterprise sales cycles with Blues plans and other commercial payers, from initial engagement through contracting and launch.
• Grow strategic accounts. Expand existing partnerships across covered lives, geographies, clinical programs, and revenue, building deep relationships with senior payer stakeholders.
• Deliver against revenue goals. Own the health plan sales target and build the pipeline, forecasting discipline, and operating cadence required to consistently deliver predictable growth.
• Build and lead the team. Hire, coach, and scale a high-performing payer sales organization as the business grows.
• Shape Midi’s payer strategy. Bring market and competitive insights back into the business and partner closely with Payer Alliances, Commercial Operations, Clinical, Product, Finance, and Marketing to strengthen our offering and accelerate growth.
• Represent Midi externally. Build credibility with payer executives and establish Midi as a category leader in women’s midlife care.

Who You Are

• You bring 12+ years of progressive experience in payer sales, business development, or partnerships, ideally within health tech, provider services, care delivery, or value-based care.
• You have deep experience selling into health plans, particularly Blue Cross Blue Shield regional plans, and understand how to navigate complex payer organizations and decision-making processes.
• You have a track record of closing multi-million-dollar payer partnerships and consistently delivering against ambitious revenue targets.
• You’re both a strategic operator and hands-on closer—comfortable setting the GTM strategy and personally driving a critical deal across the finish line.
• You’ve helped take a payer GTM motion from early traction to meaningful scale, building the processes, relationships, and teams required along the way.
• You have strong executive presence and know how to build multi-threaded relationships with C-level stakeholders across complex organizations.
• You thrive in high-growth environments: self-directed, resourceful, fast-moving, and energized by building through ambiguity.
• Experience with value-based or risk-aligned partnerships is a strong plus.
• You’re passionate about improving healthcare for women and excited by Midi’s mission.

The salary for this role is 220,000 -284,000 annually. Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, and qualifications. This role is also eligible for additional compensation, including equity and benefits.
