About Scorability:

Scorability is passionate about improving the lives of college coaches through a more efficient and successful athlete recruiting process. Prospective student athletes benefit from a more direct and transparent recruiting process—one led by interested college coaches who can actually recruit them—helping the athletes avoid wasted effort and money on unnecessary services.

The Role:

As VP of Finance, you will lead Scorability’s strategic finance initiatives, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, performance analysis, M&A, board-ready reporting and strategic decision support. You’ll report directly to CEO and work closely with leadership across the organization. This role is strategic, hands-on, and will help build and evolve our financial infrastructure as we grow.

What you’ll do:

  • As our VP of Finance and first finance hire, you will build and be responsible for all aspects of the finance and accounting functions acting as both a hands-on and strategic partner
  • Lead the evolution and execution of company financial strategy in partnership with Co-Founders
  • Own and enhance the consolidated corporate model; drive monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast cycles
  • Oversee finance operations, including financial planning & analysis (FP&A), fundraising, capital allocations, financial reporting, risk management, and compliance
  • Develop and manage strategic plans, including annual operating plans and multi-year forecasts
  • Guide resource allocation and capital investment decisions across the company
  • Provide deep analysis of financial performance, unit economics, and ROI to support executive decision-making
  • Define and report on KPIs (e.g., Magic Number, CAC, LTV, ARR/MRR) and develop dashboards and reporting structures that improve insight and accountability
  • Build real-time performance tracking tools and promote a culture of metrics-driven decision-making
  • Serve as a trusted financial partner to key business leaders in Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations
  • Lead financial reporting and insights delivery to the Executive Team, Board of Directors, and investors
  • Support company-wide strategic initiatives, including M&A evaluation, partnerships, and capital market activities
  • Thrive in lean environments, and a high bar for accuracy and financial rigor while operating with agility and ownership
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, partnering with department heads to ensure clarity, accountability, and alignment with company-wide objectives
  • Optimize and automate financial systems, processes, and tools
  • Own accounting strategy and infrastructure to support accuracy and timeliness
  • Support legal and contract-related activities, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements
  • Partner with leadership on headcount planning and hiring
  • Occasional travel possible

Experience we’re seeking:

  • 3+ years of finance experience in a Manager or higher role within a high-growth SaaS organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Proven expertise in financial strategy, financial planning, FP&A, regulatory compliance, and scaling finance operations in high-growth environments
  • Strong track record in fundraising, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for a SaaS organization
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability and experience in presenting to executives, boards, and investors
  • Strategic mindset with a history of fast action, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Experience working on legal and contract-related activities

Perks & Benefits:

  • Stock options: become a shareholder and participate in the value we create together
  • Flexible Time Off + generous holidays off for a good quality of life
