Job Summary

The VP, Global Partnerships - Data will focus on driving revenue and brand partnerships for AEG’s Global Partnerships group through brand adoption of strategic insights, activation, and measurement products built on AEG’s extensive databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data-driven product partnerships, sales, business development, and client relationship management. This role supports the President, AEG Presents, Global Partnerships in aligning data-driven insights with the revenue goals for Global Partnerships as a whole, including development and implementation of a multi-entity sales strategy that includes data/digital and non-digital sponsorships. This position is critical in managing relationships with external brands and agencies looking to leverage the opportunity from external data, as well as supporting the President in maintaining relationships with internal data owners.

Essential Functions

  • New Sales, Renewals and Upsell: a) Meet or exceed annual sales goals for self and department, and keep revenue forecasts up to date; b) Partner with Activation to establish pipeline for upsell opportunities as part of the renewal process, as well as explore additional opportunities for activation; c) Proactively find and develop opportunities for data-driven partner solutions; d) Participate in multi-property sales for AEG entities to enhance overall global revenue; d) Network throughout the industry to increase connections for brands / agency / competitors.
  • Contractual Obligations: a) Drive the consistent implementation and adoption of sales programs across all AEG assets; b) Oversee strategic product sales and provide direction for other sales teams; c) Communicate contractual obligations and fulfillment strategies for new and existing partners; d) Oversee all relevant sales materials to be sent to partners; e) Provide expertise to internal teams, participating in RFIs, RFPs, bids, demos, assessments, and workshops to hit the right notes.
  • Prospective Partner Management: a) Understand clients' game plans, and leverage top data platforms  to create winning strategies; b) Form strong partnerships with leading data partners and their sales leadership to bring innovative solutions to clients; c) Help develop new offerings and thought leadership marketing to boost the company's market position; d) Own delivery estimations, solutioning, and pricing for client solutions, working closely with legal teams to create and review commercial agreements, licenses, SOWs, change requests, etc.
  • Leadership and Team Dynamics: a) Act as a trusted advisor, teaming up with Sales, Activation, and Solution Architects to help clients tackle tough business challenges; b) Monitor activation of partnerships to ensure that best practices are being followed; c)Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Analytics, Tech, Experience, Digital Delivery, etc.) to assess and scope new opportunities and d) partner closely with internal data owners, analysts, and engineers to ensure data is properly processed, enriched, and made available for data-driven partnership products, enabling scalable and effective insights, activation and measurement solutions.
  • General Administration: a) Prepare important correspondence for clients (i.e. letters, policies and procedures); b) Balance expense and revenue budgets successfully; c) Ensure that President, Global Partnerships (AEG Presents) is kept abreast of all activities relating to corporate clients through established reporting procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years related work experience in ad tech, data, or software consulting sales
  • Experience selling to marketing, technology and agency clients
  • Deep expertise in articulating the value of a data product relative to a non-digital property or set of products
  • Deep expertise in developing data solutions as part of a hybrid package with non-digital inventory
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining relationships at the C-suite, EVP, VP and technical layers of a prospect
  • Proven track record of developing, mentoring, and coaching highly productive teams.
  • Strong negotiating skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exemplary problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish effective cross team and cross functional partnerships to drive cross-team initiatives.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to maintain professional demeanor in highly stressed situations.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity to stay abreast of industry trends to identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; ability to learn required business systems.

Payscale: $173,215.00 - $231,00.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
