Reporting to the SVP, Business Development and partnering with Marketing, Partnerships, Legal, Compliance, Implementation, Product & Engineering the VP Sales, Public Sector will own the sourcing and procuring of net new federal agency contracts. This includes overseeing successful implementations and transition to customer management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in government sales or business development. 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Manage of team of account executives responsible for building partnerships with public sector organizations including state, local and federal government agencies. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, agencies, and industry groups.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments to assess potential impacts on the business.
  • Represent the company in meetings, hearings, and conferences related to government affairs.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to secure government contracts and increase revenue.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored solutions that meet government clients' needs.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing government clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of proposals and bids for government contracts.

What success looks like in this role:

  • Meet and exceed annual pipeline targets with key agencies
  • Meet and exceed annual sales targets with key agencies 

What we expect from you:

  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in sales or business development, with a minimum of 5 years in people leadership 
    • Success in building public sector partnerships is required   
    • Preferred benefits/healthcare sales experience, but not required
  • Proven track record of success in selling complex solutions to government agencies
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills 
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with partners and attend industry events (25%)
  • A deep passion to transform the U.S. healthcare system, especially mental health 
  • Outstanding communication skills and a thoughtful and collaborative approach to sales
  • Entrepreneurial focus with a determination to succeed in an innovative, fast-paced environment with a high tolerance for ambiguity
  • Humility, resourcefulness, directness, ambition, extreme comfortability with change
  • Emotional intelligence and an empathetic nature

The target base salary range for this position is $208,000 - $230,000, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
