Job Description

The Warehouse Operations Specialist is a hands-on, hybrid role responsible for accurately moving high-value, fragile, and one-of-a-kind merchandise through The Realest's Dallas facility — receiving, storage, fulfillment, returns, and shipment staging — with careful physical handling and system accuracy. After training, this person independently manages the daily work queue, follows established procedures and escalation paths, and helps keep the operation organized, secure, and efficient with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Receiving, Inventory & Listings

  • Receive, inspect, count, and process incoming inventory in the company Admin system, verifying identity, quantity, condition, measurements, and status against records.
  • Assign storage locations, complete put-away, and keep inventory aligned with system records.
  • Perform routine counts, investigate and correct discrepancies when authorized, and escalate unresolved exceptions.
  • Organize and protect high-value, one-of-a-kind inventory per established handling, storage, and access controls.
  • Photograph inventory for online listings — clear, accurate, well-lit images that meet company presentation standards.
  • After training, support authorized staff with authentication, documentation, and preparation as needed.

Fulfillment & Returns

  • Pick, verify, pack, and process orders from release through secure shipment staging, following product-specific packaging and handling standards.
  • Process domestic and international shipments, including routine customs documentation after training.
  • Process returned, undeliverable, or unclaimed shipments — inspect, update systems, and return to inventory when appropriate.
  • Escalate damaged, missing, high-value, or non-routine situations for leadership direction.

Systems & Daily Operations

  • Use company systems across receiving, inventory, fulfillment, returns, and shipping, keeping precise digital records at each stage.
  • Manage the daily work queue independently, shifting between tasks as volume fluctuates while following SOPs and escalation procedures.

Warehouse Readiness & Security

  • Keep receiving, storage, packing, and staging areas clean, safe, and stocked, with packing stations and equipment ready for daily use.
  • Monitor supplies and submit replenishment requests; perform basic equipment checks and report repair or facility needs.
  • Serve as a trusted keyholder, following opening, closing, access, and security procedures and escalating any concerns.

Qualifications & Attributes

  • Comfortable with computer systems and quick to learn inventory, order management, and shipping platforms.
  • Warehouse, fulfillment, shipping, inventory, or e-commerce experience preferred; no formal education required.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, detail-oriented, and accountable, with consistent focus on inventory accuracy and careful handling of valuable items.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and communicates well, seeking guidance or escalating when needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to perform the essential physical functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility; lift and carry up to 50 pounds and move carts, boxes, and palletized materials.
  • Able to safely use step stools or ladders to access inventory at varying heights and perform repetitive handling tasks with accuracy and care.

Schedule & Work Expectations

Full-time, Monday through Friday, normally 40 hours per week. This is an hourly, non-exempt position eligible for overtime under applicable law; all hours worked must be accurately
