We are looking for a Web Developer to strengthen the World of Warships:Legends Game Services team in our brand-new Belgrade office. Wargaming Belgrade is a game development studio in Serbia and a key member of the Wargaming global network. Our studio is home to talented and dedicated teams of game developers, artists, and designers, one of them being World of Warships team, who are passionate about creating the best gaming experiences for our players.

You will be working in a Web development team responsible for developing backend services for publishing, monetization, business analytics, and other game-related web projects.

World of Warships: Legends is the best naval game around, letting you take the command of legendary warships from the period of the 20th century as you battle your way with other players.

In our work, we follow development best practices and set challenging goals while not forgetting about quality and not afraid to experiment.

What will you do?

• Design, develop and maintain high-load services and various features from team domains

• Write unit tests, write documentation, refactor existing code to keep it simple and maintainable

• Participate in code and technical documentation reviews

• Resolve issues at test and production sites

• Work on the inner source projects and RnD activities, contribute to the overall development culture

What are we looking for?

• 3+ years of experience with Python (sync and async)

• Capability to develop web service from scratch

• Experience with relational databases (we use PostgreSQL)

• Understanding microservice architecture and services communication methods

• English upper-intermediate or higher

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Russian language at advanced level

• Understanding how to deploy and maintain a web-service in a production, DevOps practices

• Hands-on experience with any of - Fastapi, Django, Docker, k8s, Redis, Prometheus, Grafana, RabbitMQ, Kafka

• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a complex and dynamic environment

• Gaming experience or interest in computer games
