About the role We are looking for a Manager of Workforce Engagement & Special Projects to lead the strategic development, growth and governance of the Victorian tennis workforce. In this role, you will drive workforce acquisition, engagement, education, compliance, and strategic grant initiatives – ensuring Tennis Victoria builds a diverse, capable, and sustainable workforce to support grassroots growth across the state. In this role you will be responsible for: Lead and deliver the Victorian workforce strategy, driving growth, engagement, and retention aligned to 2024–2028 priorities Build and scale workforce pipelines, partnering with internal teams, education providers, and industry stakeholders Design and deliver workforce education programs, including workshops, forums, and professional development initiatives informed by data insights Drive inclusion and growth across key cohorts, including youth, women and girls, and all abilities Lead strategic grants and special projects, from identification and submission through to delivery, reporting, and continuous improvement Oversee workforce governance, operations, and reporting, including compliance, budget management, and major workforce deployments About you To be successful in this role you will: Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training, professional development programs, and support resources Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and bring diverse groups together Proven ability to lead initiatives that drive participation, engagement, and community impact within sport or similar environments Commercial and operational acumen, including experience managing budgets and delivering programs effectively A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement Understanding of the community sport landscape (ideally tennis), including participation trends and the needs of clubs and regional communities Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis VIC.
