About the right team member

The Accountant performs daily hands‐on accounting tasks. This individual is a strong individual contributor and is responsible for day‐to‐day accounting department functions as well as special projects. This role must be able to apply accounting, project management, and analytical skills to contribute to a dynamic and efficient accounting team in a fast‐growing, high‐tech company.

About the role

Perform a wide variety of general accounting and clerical functions as the need arises in the monthly accounting close process
Manage a range of accounting procedures in conformity with GAAP
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement fluctuation analysis
Perform and maintain financial statement internal control procedures
Assist in maintaining and updating documentation of accounting department policies and procedures
Monitor and analyze financial transactions to ensure accounting records are complete and accurate
Assist with general administrative tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned
Participate in the financial audit process including interactions with internal and external auditors

Skills & experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Technical certification in Accounting or Finance
2 to 4 years’ experience in Accounting or Finance
Strong Excel skills
Flexibility in working hours around monthly accounting close processes
Demonstrating integrity and trust by acting ethically and gaining the trust and respect of others.
Strong organizational, project management, effective communication, and priority-setting skills
Experience with multi‐national companies (preferred)
Experience with NetSuite (preferred)

This is a contractor role (PJ), paid hourly.
