FanDuel is looking for a dynamic Acquisition Strategy and Planning Senior Director to lead acquisition, investment and customer activation strategy across our portfolio of Flywheel & New Ventures (FNV) products. As FanDuel launches and scales new ventures in sports entertainment, this is a unique opportunity to be on the ground defining customer acquisition strategies in new white spaces, while leveraging the scale and capabilities of the world’s largest gaming company.

This role will work closely with marketing and commercial teams to develop multi-channel marketing campaigns that maximize the impact of brand moments for customer acquisition. You will lead customer marketing teams across the FNV suite of products including Picks, Racing, FanDuel TV, Daily Fantasy, as well as exciting new products slated to launch in the coming months.

The successful candidate for this role will be relentlessly curious and creative, making data-driven decisions to guide long-term customer acquisition strategy and investment planning. This is a unique opportunity to lead acquisition marketing for America’s #1 sportsbook brand as we expand our portfolio into new sports and gaming ventures.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Own customer acquisition strategy for all New Venture product launches, including being accountable for investment allocation and planning across media, offers and generosity
  • Create and own acquisition budget, developing new customer generosity propositions and overseeing media mix and execution
  • Lead a team of customer marketers with a focus on efficiently reaching and acquiring new customers across FNV products
  • Lead media mix modelling and develop innovative roadmaps for short-term & long-term optimizations to maximize acquisition offer ROI
  • Develop strong relationships with cross functional teams driving effective collaboration across marketing, analytics, commercial, and product
  • Work with product and content teams to continually improve the end-to-end new customer experience from awareness to conversion
  • Develop and maintain competitive insights to inform strategy and ensure we are delivering best-in-class propositions and acquisition offers
  • Assess impact of marketing efforts on full customer lifecycle and lifetime value, across both flywheel and other FanDuel products
  • Develop and continue to improve acquisition team structure, operations, and tooling to optimize for efficiency and ROI
  • Provide senior management with post-initiative ROI analysis paired with consumer insights to make recommendations to increase acquisition and drive a premium brand experience

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 10+ years of experience in digital/growth marketing with a focus on consumer acquisition
  • 6+ years of managerial experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business or Analytical field (or other relevant discipline) preferred
  • Strong communication skills and experience influencing senior leadership teams
  • Proven growth mindset: Product led, data driven and highly creative
  • Metrics driven and continuously seeking improvement of marketing efforts to increase quality and productivity, with a track record of delivering business outcomes
  • Strong analytical rigor to your decision making, paired with clear customer focus
  • Ability and eagerness to effectively balance the big-picture strategic work with execution
  • Proficient in a range of tools across the marketing stack: Amplitude, Adjust, GA, Chartio preferred
  • Interest in the broader gambling industry preferred

The applicable salary range for this position is $171,000 - $213,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
