This is a reimagined product management leadership role for the agentic era, with direct influence over the way we build consumer-facing and enterprise AI. 

You will not just measure customer delight, write specs, and triage tickets. You will also build alongside our engineers with AI as your primary force multiplier. You will prototype with Claude Code, Cursor, and Lovable; design and operate the evaluation harnesses that decide what ships; and treat your own PM workflow as a system to instrument, automate, and continuously improve. Our AI portfolio at FanDuel includes consumer-facing chat experiences, agentic marketing workflows and automation, AI-powered product and software development, and more. 

As a senior director-level player-coach, you will own one high-leverage agentic product surface end-to-end in collaboration with product managers and designs in tech and commercial, while also mentoring and raising the bar for how Product Management is practiced at FanDuel. You will lead a team of AI PMs that interface directly with business stakeholders, codify patterns for how product management is done in the AI era, and shape the discipline of product management more widely. If your reflex when you see a problem is to open a terminal and an agent harness before you open a Google Doc, this role is for you.

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

Mentor and coach AI PMs across the AI and wider product org through pairing, design reviews, written critique, prototype tear-downs, and a shared pattern library you help author. You will supervise multiple AI product managers in the AI Engineering Organization, while also raising the bar for FanDuel’s wider product management practice. 

Own end-to-end for one or more workstreams (growth & marketing, customer experience, product innovation, enterprise acceleration), including strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and outcomes. You will build working prototypes with Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, and modern agent frameworks. And you will design and operate evaluation systems — golden sets, offline evals, online experiments, drift and regression detection, human-rater pipelines — for every surface you own. Define what "good" means in numbers before you ship.

Partner daily with Business partners, FDEs, AI SWE pods, AI Platform, Trust & Safety, Responsible AI, and Legal. Translate ambiguous business problems into agent-shaped solutions that respect our regulatory and RG posture. Set the bar for AI-native PM craft across the function: write and maintain CLAUDE.md files, build MCP-aware tooling for the PM team, share patterns in writing, and pair with other PMs on hard problems.

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

• 10-12+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years shipping AI and/or LLM-powered products in production. 

• Demonstrated fluency building with modern AI development tools. You can point to prototypes, agents, evals, MCP servers, or PRs you have personally built — not just shipped through others. 

• Strong technical depth: comfortable reading and writing code, comfortable in system design conversations, comfortable in an eval notebook. You don't need to be a senior engineer, but engineers should want to pair with you. 

• Working understanding of agentic infrastructure: MCP, orchestration patterns, tool use, retrieval, context engineering, prompt evaluation, and runtime observability. 

• Track record operating as a player-coach — elevating peers and shaping practice without org-chart authority. 

• Demonstrated experience designing or operating evaluation systems for ML or LLM products at meaningful scale. 

• Sharp written communicator with a strong bias toward written artifacts — one-pagers, decision memos, RFCs, postmortems.

What we’re looking for in our next teammate  

The AI Platforms & Experiences (APEX) team is FanDuel's AI function for cutting edge artificial intelligence. We design, ship, and operate the AI capabilities that power our marketing funnel, product experiences, internal tooling, and emerging agentic platform. The org is structured around five pillars: Forward Deployed Engineers embedded in business units, AI Software Engineering pods, an AI Platform team, AI Product Managers, and AI strategy & transformation.

We are not a research lab, and we are not the Data org. We are builders, shipping production AI systems against real customer and operator problems, with eval-first rigor, responsible-AI guardrails, and a strong bias toward small, fast, instrumented teams.

This role is different, because:

• You are not joining a mature playbook. This role exists to define what AI-native PM looks like at FanDuel and to ship the surfaces other PMs will build on.
• You will sit shoulder-to-shoulder with the FDEs, SWEs, and Platform engineers who build the agentic stack you'll own product for.
• You will have air cover from a CTO-sponsored AI Engineering function, with direct line of sight into the company's AI roadmap and architectural decisions.
• You will be measured on systems and impact, not pixels. Output is judged in evals, experiments, and shipped product.

The applicable salary range for this position is $230,000 - $302,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
