Protect our customers and uphold regulator trust by ensuring our reporting obligations to AUSTRAC are delivered with accuracy, integrity, and timeliness. Your work will strengthen our compliance framework, making processes efficient, transparent, and aligned to best practice, while consistently meeting and exceeding regulatory expectations.

As part of the broader AML team at Entain Australia, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding the business. You’ll identify, assess, and take action on accounts exhibiting unusual or suspicious behaviour, working across multiple channels and stakeholder groups to ensure risks are appropriately managed.

You’ll also contribute to the ongoing monitoring of customer activity, transactions, and accounts - supporting areas such as ACIP and KYC refresh, remediation programs, and sanctions screening. Through this, you’ll help build a strong, cohesive, and highly regarded AML/CTF function, trusted by regulators, valued by the business, and committed to protecting our customers.

This role will be based in Brisbane.

A Day in the Life

  • Analyse customer transactions, accounts, and behaviour for potential AML/CTF risks
  • Submit required reports, including Suspicious Matter Reports, to AUSTRAC
  • Conduct ongoing customer due diligence, including enhanced checks (source of funds/wealth)
  • Maintain accurate, timely records in line with regulatory and internal standards
  • Collate and document investigations, ensuring stakeholder alignment
  • Support fraud prevention initiatives through data entry and monitoring
  • Assess customer accounts and identify potential risks
  • Collaborate closely with Risk, Compliance, Trading, RG and Client Services teams.

Your Strengths

  • Knowledge or experience working in a highly regulated environment such as gambling or financial services (Desirable)
  • Understanding or prior experience with KYC, sanctions and transaction monitoring. (Desirable)
  • Understanding of the Industry codes of practice and other relevant legislation including AML/CTF Act, Privacy Act and Criminal Code (Desirable)
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to be analytical.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to document investigation results and provide sound rationale and recommendations for review.
  • Time Management skills and to be able deal with sensitive information in a highly confidential manner.
  • Ability to liaise with and forge strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
