As an Accountant, you’ll be responsible for managing accounts payable. You’ll ensure that invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time. Additionally, you’ll work closely with your colleagues on the finance team and with our suppliers to maintain strong relationships and quickly resolve any payment issues.

Your Responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices and ensuring compliance with company policies
• Verifying invoice details such as quantities, prices, and payment terms
• Monitoring payments through electronic systems
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
• Maintaining communication with suppliers regarding payments and inquiries
• Keeping accurate records and documentation for accounts payable
• Assisting with month-end closing activities, including internal transfers and supplier invoice provisions
• Collaborating with the procurement department to ensure proper purchasing procedures are followed
• Helping to improve and implement policies and procedures for accounts payable
• Staying updated on the latest developments in accounts payable and accounting
• Processing bank and cash records and performing reconciliations

Your Winning Profile

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
• Thorough knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
• Familiarity with accounting software (Dyn. 365 Business Central) and MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Excellent attention to detail and a precise work ethic
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willing to be on site in our Aalst HQ 3 to 4 days per week for the first 3 months for training before moving to 2 days per week.
• Good communication skills in both Dutch and English, written and verbal
• A proactive attitude, with the ability to set the right priorities and meet deadlines
• You have a growth mindset, and you are willing to take on more responsibilities to grow and develop your career with a significantly growing organisation.
