Position Summary

Reports to the Head Coach and supports the Head Coach with the First Team’s practices and training sessions. This includes technical and tactical aspects for developing high-quality players and individuals in-season.

 Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist in arranging for, conducting, and supervising the Team's practices and training sessions.
• Assist in coaching the Team in all exhibitions, regular season, playoffs, tournament, international, and other games.
• Assist in preparing for all games played by the Team, including developing. game strategies and supervising the scouting of opposing teams.
• Assisting in the scouting and evaluation of potential players.
• Assist in enforcing Team Rules and League Rules applicable to the Team's players and/or coaching staff.
• Participating in promotional, sponsorship, and public relations activities requested by the Club.
• As requested by the Club, participate in the evaluation and recruitment of players on the Club's minor league team(s) and Club's Academy teams and otherwise promote and assist with the development of the Club's minor league team(s) and Academy teams.
• Support duties and services as may reasonably be assigned by the Head Coach and/or Technical Director to Employee that are consistent with employment as an assistant coach of a team in the League.

Qualifications:

• Prior coaching experience in MLS or international club, preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and educate players.
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong organizational and personal management skills
• Ability to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of professional sports teams’ environments, team operations, public relations, and media responsibilities
