DIGITAL STRATEGY / Responsible for developing and executing digital & social media recommendations for our clients.
***The location of this position can be flexible to hybrid work (3 days a week in the office) in one of our office locations—Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Chicago, IL, Charlotte, NC, or Atlanta, GA. Remote candidates will not be considered for this role.

The Associate Director, Digital Strategy works alongside a team of digital experts to manage the planning, execution, and measurement of sponsorship investments via contractual digital media, organic and paid social, content ideation, and digital partnerships.

The work you’ll do
Formulate multi-channel digital and social strategies, including (but not limited to) actionable recommendations regarding paid distribution via media partners, programmatic & paid social, content ideation, audience development, and campaign measurement
Collaborate with internal Octagon departments and/or with client agency partners to deliver asset recommendations, digital valuations, content strategy, and IP integration opportunities that enhance client investments
Develop digital and social campaigns rooted in insights, industry benchmarks, and emerging trends across the marketing landscape
Apply social listening and measurement tools to develop research around conversations and audiences to deliver data-driven recommendations
Craft and present digital strategy recommendations to clients and share the rationale behind the recommendations
Measure programs and deliver meaningful real-time insights and optimization strategies, as well as post-campaign recaps
Contribute to new business RFP’s and growth opportunities as needed
Who we’re looking for
5+ years of proven experience in digital/social strategy or media planning. Agency experience is a plus
Highly proficient in crafting, executing, and optimizing digital and social media campaigns and amplification strategies
Expertise in managing multiple digital and social projects from development through execution
Strong experience with social and digital measurement; has worked with platforms such as Hookit and Google Analytics, and can pull out key findings and storytelling opportunities from the data
Highly skilled in crafting digital and social POV’s for client programs
Experience with digital media platforms, including paid social buying platforms (Meta, TikTok, etc.), and paid search/display/video platforms (Google Ads, TTD) a plus
Experience in people management, having supervised 1-2 direct reports in current or previous roles
Ability to coach junior team members on social and digital work outputs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail, and an understanding of the importance of accuracy, as much of the work is consumer and client-facing
Proficiency with PowerPoint and ability to build and deliver client-facing presentations
You are creative – you can brainstorm innovative ideas and collaborate with creative/design teams
You’re ahead of what’s trending in social & digital – what’s resonating with consumers, what platforms are growing, what content rises above the rest – and a passion for/expertise in sports, entertainment, music, and/or celebrity & lifestyle culture
The base range for this position is $70,000 - 85,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure, and standing with thecompany (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background,pertinent experience, and qualifications
