Associate Financial Analyst - PlayStation Studios FP&A

Role Overview:

PlayStation Studios (PSS) Finance is seeking an Associate Finance Analyst to join our team. You will be part of the Central PSS Finance group, reporting to the FP&A Manager.

This role is responsible for financial planning & analysis as part of the Global PSS Finance team, with a focus on supporting the monthly Management Reporting process. Key tasks include analysing actual results, reporting, and communicating with key teams to ensure the Operating Profit of 1st Party Titles and Studios are reported to Executive Management in a timely manner each month.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support monthly reporting process for 1st Party Studios.
  • Analyse global data processed and flag issues in a timely manner.
  • Calculate adjustments based on business logic provided and ensure data integrity of final submission.
  • Create 1st Party Net Operating Profit and 1st Party Title Profitability report and deliver key insights in commentary for distribution to PSS Management team monthly.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide recommendations on financial models, ex: COS analysis and assumptions for future title modeling.
  • Assist with efforts to automate reporting and streamline processes. Support globalisation efforts.
  • Collaborate with 1st Party Finance Systems team as part of regular data processing and master data activities / updates.
  • Work with other SIE Finance teams and data providers, where appropriate, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of data required for 1st Party Actuals reporting.
  • Provide support for wider PSS Finance initiatives, as required.

What we are looking for:              

  • Proven experience of Finance related work, preferably with involvement in Management Reporting.
  • Experience in SAP, or other Accounting software.
  • Experience with OLAP tools useful, but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge/understanding of Accounting and Financial Statements.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Personal time management skills and ability to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Takes initiative and ownership to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Willingness to assist with a variety of tasks and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Interest in Games and passion for the Game industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.
