About the Role

The Associate Producer-Studio covers and supports every modality and every instructor working at PSNY or PSL (as applicable). This role primarily works in the studio at the point of production. They work in teams in a fast paced environment. The key skills they need to demonstrate include outstanding teamwork, clear communication, and the ability to make decisions based on constantly evolving, limited, or sometimes conflicting information. Associate Producers-Studio work very closely with Instructors, making sure they are briefed, supported, and informed ahead of arriving at the studio, as they prepare to execute their classes, during classes, and immediately after shooting. Associate Producers-Studio make sure everyone supporting the production (Control Room Staff, PAs, Studio Operations, etc) understands the vision and class plan that the Instructor has developed with their Modality Producers. They are responsible for ensuring the class is executed to the highest possible standard. 

Associate Producers-Studio ensure Instructors are supported in the Studio, making sure there is a culture of trust, collaboration, and transparency.  Associate Producers-Studio ensure any key development feedback is shared with the Senior Producers-Studio and Instructor Strategy so it can be fed back to help Instructors. This role ensures key protocols are understood and followed, training Senior PAs and PAs where necessary around Peloton Production Manuals for each modality. 

  • PSNY and PSL Associate Producers-Studio are salaried employees. They work shifts on a planned basis to ensure there is support at the point of production, covering Live Content (with and without members in Studio) and also Coach to Camera production (CTC)
  • Their shift pattern include regular “production office shifts” to allow them to interact with the wider producer team and provide auxiliary support e.g. taking on research projections, involvement in creative brainstorms and pitch development
  • During office shifts, Associate Producers-Studio will also cover core reporting and planning tasks e.g. preparing Run Downs
  • Associate Producers-Studio can be assigned to develop and support Identity Months and other special content
  • Associate Producers-Studio primarily work at a Peloton Studio but sometimes perform their duties at other locations including at Events, creating Scenic Content, and more, according to experience and ability

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Works in close partnership with Modality Producers, Instructors' Strategy, Control Room teams, and Studio Operations to turn class plans into reality during production in the studio
  • Builds and executes against Protocols and Run of Shows for live classes across all modalities
  • Serves as the lead editorial decision maker on the ground during live and CTC classes for designated modalities. Escalates (Yellow/Red Lights) to Modality Producers where necessary.
  • Leads pre-production meetings were required with Control Room teams, production assistants, Studio Operations team 
  • Engages with, and delivers feedback to, instructors pre-, during, and post-class 
  • Deliver live and timely feedback to all associated with class production 
  • Contributes to editorial meetings to provide input and ideas to Executive Producers, Senior Producers, and Producers, based on feedback from the live production environment
  • Collaborate closely with:
    • Content Leadership to develop and execute Live and CTC content
    • Control Room staff during Live and CTC classes to ensure content adheres to Peloton standards for execution
    • Studio Operations teams on studio readiness for Live and CTC classes
    • Provide timely feedback to instructors and the production team 
  • Manages teams of on-shift Production Assistants pre- and post-classes to ensure content adheres to Peloton standards for execution (including PAs reviewing classes vs. protocols and to identify key moments for highlights, social media, and other purposes) 

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • Minimum 3+ years working in production roles, including experience in a daily, live broadcast environment and control room 
  • Experience as a Production Assistant, Senior Production Assistant, or equivalent is an advantage 
  • Experience working with on-screen talent 
  • Experience working on a project from concept through delivery and ability to hit tight deadlines 
  • Must be very organized with sharp attention to detail 
  • Solution-oriented mentality with the ability to think quickly on your feet 
  • Must be an effective collaborator and communicator 
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
  • PSNY = Native English Speaker, Fluency in German or Spanish is an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in fitness is an advantage 
  • Knowledge and experience in Social Media is an advantage 
  • Knowledge and experience in Music is an advantage

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range
$81,800$106,400 USD
