Surf Ranch is the primary operating facility for the Kelly Slater WaveCo (KSWC), and is the world’s preeminent surf experience, showcasing the best high performance surf technology – coupled with a luxury hospitality experience.  Truly a one-of-a kind in both the surf and high-end luxury markets.

The Surf Ranch Sales team is laser-focused on delivering a world class customer experience and sales process, with an end state of delivering financial success by driving top-line revenue and managing net profitability. This role is integral at every stage of the Surf Ranch sales and service engagement including identification/qualification of prospects, proposal and contract creation, invoicing, and CRM management. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales at Surf Ranch and will work cross-functionally with other Surf Ranch departments.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Sales 

  • Assist in ensuring Sales Strategy goals are met
  • Cultivate, sell, and manage a book of private hospitality customers and facility sponsorship
  • Design, evaluate, and refine Surf Ranch product offerings with focus on specialty programs for smaller groups and individuals 
  • Identify new revenue opportunities with new and existing partners and identify areas of improvement to exceed revenue goals 
  • Manage individual inbound leads from individual networks, web inquiries, social, and reservation email 
  • Proactively identify and research domestic and international leads to build an outbound list of credible and compatible private hospitality customers and potential partnerships 

Sales Support

  • Support the creation of professional sales collateral for Surf Ranch including an emotive look and feel, copy, and visuals
  • Track “competitive” products and experiences by completing and analyzing business data to improve the team’s strategy 
  • Liaison and collaborate with Surf Ranch Operations team to implement new and creative approaches to ensure client experiences and expectations are met   
  • Assist with drafting Surf Ranch Experience Agreement and ensuring accuracy of all sales platforms (Salesforce)

Account Management

  • Assists with all partners across all categories from initial partnership kick off through to final reporting and renewal negotiations 
  • Assists property sales manager on Surf Ranch partner marketing and activation including onsite integration, digital/content, and customer hosting
  • Ability to ideate and copy write to ensure authentic and on brand partner posts across KSWC Instagram 
  • Develop partner deliverable management system capable of being scaled across future partnerships at other WaveCo facilities 
  • Lead all client correspondence including agendas, presentations, proposals, contracts, invoicing, and surveys
  • Continuously review client and market landscape to recommend, develop and implement new and creative approaches to ensure client and WaveCo business objectives are met. Develop new revenue opportunities with existing partners or identify areas of improvement to exceed revenue goals
  • Collaborates with partners to establish and execute annual business planning and quarterly review sessions to establish, monitor and report progress against joint objectives

Experience / Qualifications

  • Three to five years of partnership sales, account management and business administration experience
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Comfortable making presentations, negotiating terms and closing
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce, FareHarbor and Microsoft Office is preferred 
  • Proficient across suite of business tools and platforms

Annual Salary of $67,500.00 plus commission eligibility
