Basketball Sales Trainee

Are you a passionate, hard-working and focused individual who is interested in a career in sports marketing? The Sales Trainee position in our Basketball division will provide you with hands-on experience in the way we generate leads and sales for our clients, particularly with NIL deals.  Throughout the course of the trainee program, you will work closely with our sales & marketing team and assist with sales and lead generation.  Duties will include marketing outreach, marketing research and data entry, and handling administrative tasks.

The position is in-person in our Chicago, IL office and is a paid full-time, limited-term position (30-40 hours per week for six months) in the spring and summer.  

Who we’re Looking For:

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Admiration for and a strong ambition to master the sales process (brand research, prospecting, cold outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.), contact sourcing, lead generation, pitching, relationship building, closing skills)
• Prior sales experience is a plus
• Proficient project management skills with the ability to work across multiple projects for various clients at once
• Helpful attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond
• Ability to quickly understand and process tasks, communicate information and record daily activities in a fast-paced environment
• Positive and eager team player
• Must be proficient in data entry and detail oriented

 The work you’ll do:

• Generate sales and leads, with a heavy focus on NIL
• Marketing outreach for current and prospective clients
• Marketing research and data entry
• Support division with marketing needs and requests
• Provide administrative support to the division staff
