JOB SUMMARY

The Ottawa Black Bears (NLL) and Ottawa Senators (NHL) are looking for an In-Game Host to join the Game Production team.

Responsible for creating an engaging atmosphere for fans and acting as emcee for in-game promotions at all Ottawa Black Bears (NLL) lacrosse games. The selected individual will also be responsible for acting as an alternate host at select Ottawa Senators (NHL) hockey games.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend all Ottawa Black Bears home games and select Ottawa Senators home games, which are held on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Executing in-game promotions, giveaways, and contests with fans.
• Deliver messaging live on camera and execute live on-camera interviews.
• Maintaining an energetic attitude and hyping up the crowd.
• Appear in promotional and marketing pieces as needed.

Les Ours Noirs d'Ottawa (NLL) et les Sénateurs d'Ottawa (LNH) sont à la recherche d'un(e) animateur(trice) de match pour se joindre à l'équipe de production de matchs.

La personne choisie sera responsable de créer une atmosphère attrayante pour les partisans et d'agir comme maître de cérémonie pour les promotions en cours de match à toutes les parties de crosse des Ours Noirs d'Ottawa (NLL). La personne sélectionnée sera aussi responsable d'agir comme animateur(trice) suppléant(e) à certains matchs de hockey des Sénateurs d'Ottawa (LNH).

RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES

• Assister à tous les matchs à domicile des Ours Noirs d'Ottawa et à certains matchs à domicile des Sénateurs d'Ottawa, qui ont lieu en soirée, le weekend et les jours fériés.
• Organiser des promotions, des tirages-cadeaux et des concours en cours de match avec les partisans.
• Diffuser des messages en direct à la caméra et réaliser des entrevues en direct à la caméra.
• Maintenir une attitude énergique et animer la foule.
• Apparaître dans des documents promotionnels et de marketing selon les besoins.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 1-3+ years of on-camera or radio host/emcee experience required.
• Applicant must be bilingual (English & French).
• Candidate must be 19 years of age or older to apply
• Ability to:
• Entertain a large crowd, be creative and engaging both scripted and unscripted
• Connect with fans and assist with explanation, planning and execution of promotions
• Project and enunciate on a microphone while maintaining good expression
• Perform in front of large audiences 
• Work with others in a fast-paced environment under pressure
• Attend pre-game staff meetings, typically 2 to 2.5 hours before opening faceoff and rehearsals when required.
• Host additional team events if applicable   
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Flexible hours and available to work most home games including preseason and postseason if applicable.
• Working knowledge of hockey and lacrosse rules and regulations     
• Working knowledge of NLL and NHL players and teams

PRÉREQUIS

• D’une à trois années d'expérience en tant qu'animateur(trice) ou présentateur(trice) à la radio ou à la caméra sont requis.
• Le (ou la) candidat(e) doit être bilingue (anglais et français).        
• Le (ou la) candidat(e) doit être âgé(e) de 19 ans ou plus pour postuler.
• Capacité à :
• Divertir une grande foule, faire preuve de créativité et d'engagement, qu'il s'agisse de lire un scénario ou non.
• Établir un lien avec les partisans et participer à l'explication, à la planification et à l'exécution des promotions.
• Projeter et énoncer au micro tout en conservant une bonne expression.
• Se produire devant un large public           
• Travailler avec d'autres personnes dans un environnement rapide et sous pression.
• Participer aux réunions d'équipe d'avant-match, généralement deux heures à deux heures et demie avant le début de la rencontre, ainsi qu'aux répétitions, le cas échéant.
• Accueillir d'autres événements d'équipe, le cas échéant.
• Excellentes aptitudes de communication à l’oral et à l’écrit           
• Horaires flexibles et disponibilité pour travailler la plupart des matchs à domicile, y compris la présaison et les séries éliminatoires, le cas échéant.
• Connaissance pratique des règles et règlements du hockey et de la crosse.           
• Connaissance pratique des joueurs et des équipes de la NLL et de la LNH
