Job Description

LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.

LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We are on a singular mission to create an Olympic and Paralympic Games that celebrate all that this city and country have to offer, delivering an unparalleled experience for athletes, fans, partners and our community.

The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles’ third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. This presents the unique and exciting opportunity to celebrate our legacy with the Games and push the Olympic and Paralympic Movements forward, writing a new chapter of Games history in Los Angeles.

Putting on an Olympic and Paralympic Games is a team sport. To build a Games unlike any the world has seen before, we need the best team in place–a team full of diverse perspectives, experiences and expertise. We are guided by the following set of values and behaviors–optimism, integrity, excellence, inclusion, co-creation and boldness–and look forward to hearing about how your past experiences align with them.

CCLA - Head of Content

The Head of Content supports the early development and coordination of long-form content connected to the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This may include documentary storytelling, multi-episode formats, or other forms of long-form creative expression that capture the journey and spirit of LA28.

Because this role is part of an evolving function, the facilitator provides flexible support, helping connect teams, clarify needs, and verify information on behalf of the Head of Ceremonies & Content. The role does not carry authority over creative or production teams but instead serves as a trusted partner who helps ensure alignment, clarity, and confidence among internal and external collaborators.

The position works across a variety of internal & external teams and stakeholders — International Olympic Committee (IOC), LA28 Brand, external creative groups, and distribution stakeholders—to help maintain shared understanding as the content direction continues to take shape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of LA28’s long-form storytelling approach by participating in discussions, helping track ideas, and supporting alignment across teams
  • Support communication between stakeholders, helping ensure information, expectations, and deliverables are clearly understood
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for external partners, helping verify details, track inputs, and surface questions or risks to the Head of Ceremonies & Content
  • Assist with coordination across creative development, production considerations, and distribution planning as the strategy becomes more defined
  • Support documentation, meeting flow, and follow-through, so teams have what they need to move forward with confidence
  • Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative workflow by helping remove ambiguity and creating space for diverse creative perspectives

Background & Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in film, television, or documentary production, with deep involvement in creative development, production processes, and delivery of major content projects
  • Participation in early-stage conversations that explore narrative directions, thematic possibilities, and long-form storytelling approaches relevant to LA28
  • Engagement with external collaborators as a consistent and trusted point of contact, helping verify details and facilitate shared understanding across stakeholders
  • Familiarity with content development processes and the ability to support the flow of creative and logistical information
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to operate effectively with both internal teams and external partners
  • Comfort working in evolving, high-visibility environments where priorities and structures may shift
  • Experience with global cultural/sport events/properties or large-scale storytelling initiatives is beneficial but not required

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience

The annual base salary range for this position is $182,000.00 - $260,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.

LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.

LA28 is committed to fair and unbiased recruitment procedures allowing all applicants an equal opportunity for employment, free from discrimination on the basis of religion, race, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, color, ethnic or national origin, or any other classification as may be protected by applicable law. LA28 will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance and all applicable laws. We strive to build a team that is inclusive and encourage qualified candidates of all backgrounds, perspectives, and identities to apply. We assess applications based on relevant skills, education, and experience a candidate can add to our team.
