JOB SUMMARY: Head Instructors are a critical part of the Junior Denver Broncos Cheerleaders (JDBC) program, responsible for monthly Clinic management, annual Performance execution, overall curriculum, and content related to dance and technique. Head Instructors are responsible for supporting the Cheer Program Coordinator and communicating with DBC Instructors and Squad Parents when necessary. 

                                                                                                                                                                                                               

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinic Management

  • Commit to one Saturday per month (June-January) as determined by the JDBC schedule
  • Responsible for the overall management of JDBC Clinic Days including, but not limited to: warm-up, educational activities, and dance-related material
  • Implement strategies for behavior management of all Clinic participants (ie. Spirit Critters)
  • Assist with choreography, cheer & dance technique, and other dance-related activities related to Clinic Day
  • Inform Denver Broncos Cheerleader Instructors of special instructions on day of event

Gameday & Performance Management

  • Attend all performances including Broncos Gameday, Rockies Performance, and all others on the JDBC schedule
  • Broncos Game Day
    • Responsible for all aspects of game day from arrival to departure including management of Squad Parents, safety of children, and execution of logistics
    • Communicate with Squad Parents, bus drivers, and venue contacts as necessary
    • Stay in communication with Cheer Program Coordinator to determine timing and appropriate movement
    • Oversee Squad Parents and ensure Junior Cheerleaders are checked in and out to the appropriate parent or guardian
  • Assist with execution of Friends & Family Show

Ideation & Administrative Planning

  • Attend meetings related to JDBC Clinic and performance preparation
  • Assist with Clinic schedule conceptualization and activity brainstorm
  • Develop activities to execute and non-performance related material to teach at Clinics
  • Provide input on overall Clinic format and structure and post-event feedback when necessary
  • Assist in developing the schedule and planning for the Friends & Family Show

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience with Junior Denver Broncos Cheerleaders Program
  • Availability to attend most JDBC dates, as determined by Cheer Program Coordinator

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITY

  • Experience working with children aged 6-12

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hourly rate will be $35.00.

The Denver Broncos Cheerleaders offer Paid Time Off 1 hour for every 30 hours worked and a 401(K) matching program once you reach 1,000 hours in the plan year.
