As a focussed workstream, Koa have partnered with Oxford University to make the iCT-PTSD and ICT-SAD tools available to the NHS and other healthcare organisations. 

Initial deployment of the tools have been very successful, making it essential to expand our clinical team. The post-holder will play a key role in training and supervising clinicians and in supporting delivery at scale. They will have a passion for digital mental health and thrive in an environment which moves and changes at pace. This post will offer full training in iCT-PTSD and iCT-SAD and the chance to work in one of the leading UK digital mental health providers in the UK.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist or Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join the Koa Health team to support the national roll out of two digitally augmented psychological therapy programmes Internet Delivered Cognitive Therapy for Social Anxiety Disorder (iCT-SAD) and Internet Delivered Cognitive Therapy for PTSD (iCT-PTSD), in partnership with the University of Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to increasing access to effective psychological therapies for people with SAD and PTSD. The position would suit a clinical psychologist or a High Intensity CBT therapist who has an interest in cognitive therapy, a good understanding of the NICE-recommended cognitive therapies for PTSD and SAD and NHS Talking Therapies Services, and experience in delivering training and supervision to mental health professionals.  

You will:

  • Deliver training in iCT-PTSD and iCT-SAD to clinicians in NHS Talking Therapies Services (including within a ‘train the trainer’ model).
  • Provide expert supervision to clinicians via ‘skills building groups’ using iCT-PTSD and iCT-SAD.
  • Build supervision capacity for ICT-PTSD and ICT-SAD within services, through training and supervision of supervisors.
  • Carry out appropriate clinical admin duties and contribute as appropriate to day-to-day management of the project, helping to ensure the team meets delivery milestones and the work is carried out to the highest standards.  
  • Work with the research team at Oxford University to monitor and evaluate the roll out of ICT-SAD and iCT-PTSD.
  • Agree clear task objectives, organise, and delegate work as appropriate.
  • Maintain clinical skills and practice in delivery and supervision of ICT-PTSD and ICT-SAD. 
  • Contribute to the maintenance of Koa’s Community of Practise platform including posting materials, answering questions and taking part in the moderation of the platform. 
  • Contribute as directed by Koa Health to other workstreams falling outside of the NHS 

About You:

  • Possess a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or completed training in High Intensity CBT.
  • Registered with HCPC and/or BABCP.
  • Prior experience of treating adults with mental health problems.
  • Good understanding of NHS Talking Therapies Services.
  • Experience delivering cognitive therapy for social anxiety disorder and PTSD based on the Clark & Wells model and Ehlers and Clark models.
  • Experience of developing and delivering training to mental health professionals.
  • Experience of delivering clinical supervision to staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational, project management, and record keeping skills.
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely to send brief and focussed emails required in a business environment
  • Ability to work at the pace required in a start-up organisation and to be flexible and responsive to changing needs as required

Desirable:

  • Experience of delivering Internet Delivered Cognitive Therapy for PTSD or SAD
  • Experience of delivering group CBT supervision 
  • Experience with digital psychological therapies.
