About the Team

We're a female-founded organization, united and driven by our shared passion to revolutionize access to mental healthcare. Our mission is ambitious, and each member of our team wears multiple hats and plays a pivotal role. As an early-stage, Series A startup, we offer exciting growth opportunities and the chance to make a real impact. Join us to embark on a rewarding journey, learning and growing alongside our dedicated team of trailblazers.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Board Certified Psychiatrist (MD) or Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or PsyD) to join our research team in a contract capacity. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to conduct structured clinical DSM-5 interviews for a clinical trial focused on depression and anxiety. Your expertise will be integral in shaping the trial's protocols, upholding ethical standards, and ensuring participant safety, and your contributions will be instrumental in both the effective implementation and management of the trial.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and assess the severity of depression and anxiety disorders in participants using standardized diagnostic criteria, including the use of the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5 (SCID) to diagnose Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).
  • Collaborate with the research team to design and implement trial protocols under ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage adverse events, ensuring participant safety throughout the trial.
  • Keep accurate and comprehensive clinical records of participant assessments, interventions, and follow-ups.
  • Ensure timely and precise data collection for research purposes.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary research team, including clinicians, statisticians, and data managers.
  • Effectively communicate with participants, clearly explaining trial procedures and expectations.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards in research conduct, protecting the rights and well-being of participants.
  • Provide active state licensure information, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Board Certified Psychiatrist (MD) or Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or PsyD).
  • Proven experience in conducting clinical studies and trials, with a strong understanding of research design and a track record of effective execution.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Extensive experience in diagnosing and treating depression and anxiety disorders, including significant experience using SCID in practice to diagnose MDD.
  • Strong understanding of ethical principles and regulatory requirements governing clinical trials.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 6-10 weeks
  • Compensation: Competitive based on experience and deliverables.
  • Contract Type: Independent contractor (1099).
