Job Description

SeatGeek believes live events are powerful experiences that unite humans. With our technological savvy and fan-first attitude we’re simplifying and modernizing the ticketing industry.

SeatGeek’s innovative box office technology has unseated entrenched legacy players to win exclusive primary ticketing partnerships with many of the most iconic teams and venues in the world. The Commercial Strategy team is a major driver of SeatGeek’s success. We work hand-in-hand with Sales to make the switch to SeatGeek a no-brainer for prospects by crafting and communicating bespoke solutions that showcase SeatGeek’s technical differentiators and bottom-line impact.

As a Summer Intern supporting our Commercial Strategy team, you’ll gain hands-on experience at the intersection of strategy, sales, and tech. You’ll work closely with experienced team members to research prospects, build compelling sales materials, and help communicate SeatGeek’s value to some of the most iconic organizations in sports and live entertainment. You’ll develop skills in consulting, workshop facilitation, financial modeling, and sales content creation, while gaining exposure to how enterprise sales processes work in practice. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to high-impact, real-world projects — from shaping sales narratives to improving how we scale knowledge and insights across the team. We’re looking for someone who is curious, passionate, comfortable with ambiguity, self-starting, and has a strong sense of ownership and fastidious attention to detail. If you’re interested in sports business, strategy, enterprise sales, and building things that drive real outcomes, this role offers a unique opportunity to grow quickly while making a meaningful contribution.

What you'll do

  • Conduct research on prospective clients, including their business model, key stakeholders, and current ticketing setup, to support sales strategy and outreach. Prospects mainly include NFL, NHL, NBA and MLS teams
  • Support active sales opportunities by building decks, proposals, and other materials that clearly communicate SeatGeek’s value
  • Help organize and maintain internal content (e.g., past proposals, presentations, and processes) to make them easier to find and reuse across the team
  • Contribute to B2B content marketing efforts by drafting blog posts, LinkedIn content, and other materials to support enterprise messaging
  • Assist with building and refining ROI models by gathering data, updating assumptions, and incorporating benchmarks from current clients
  • Translate data and research into clear, structured insights for internal and client-facing materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Sales, Marketing, Strategy) to support ongoing projects and improve team workflows

What You Have

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student status, ideally with coursework or interest in sports business or a related field. Familiarity with sports ticketing or revenue strategy preferred.
  • Analytical and consulting skillset, including the ability to synthesize complex concepts using clear frameworks and develop compelling recommendations for executive-level stakeholders
  • Strong skills in Google Slides or PowerPoint, with a talent for clean, professional presentation design. Bonus: Advanced design skills using Figma
  • Experience in Excel/Google Sheets or basic financial modeling
  • Familiarity with AI tools and passion for finding ways to leverage AI to drive heightened productivity
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to intuitively tailor narratives for different audiences and stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines while maintaining fastidious attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn, with a willingness to take ownership of projects both big and small
  •

Perks

  • $120 a month to spend on tickets to live events
  • Monthly commuter card for transportation
  • Subscription to Headspace
  • Free lunch & snacks is provided every day in the office
  • Weekly planned events like comedy/broadway shows, sports games, museum visits and more
  • Housing stipend

Please note you are expected to come into the SeatGeek New York City office at least 3 days a week

The compensation for this role is $25/hour USD (based on a 40 hour work week).
