Job Description

WHY JOIN ALO?

Mindful movement. It’s at the core of why we do what we do at ALO—it’s our calling. Because mindful movement in the studio leads to better living. It changes who yogis are off the mat, making their lives and their communities better. That’s the real meaning of studio-to-street: taking the consciousness from practice on the mat and putting it into practice in life.

OVERVIEW

The Company Planner plays a critical role in translating enterprise strategy into operational execution across Retail, eCommerce, and Franchise channels. Reporting to the Director of Company Planning, this role owns consolidated reporting, supports company-wide forecasting processes, and drives operational planning alignment across functions.

This role is highly cross-functional and execution-focused—ensuring financial plans are clearly communicated, accurately reflected in systems, and operationalized across retail stores, inventory flows, and digital channels.

The ideal candidate brings strong retail acumen, financial rigor, systems expertise, and a process-oriented mindset.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Company-Level Reporting & Business Reviews

  • Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for total company performance across Retail, eCommerce, and Franchise.
  • Consolidate category and channel plans into a cohesive company forecast.
  • Support Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with variance analysis, risk identification, and actionable insights.
  • Track and report on key KPIs including sales, comp performance, gross margin, inventory turn, sell-through, weeks of supply, and GMROI.
  • Deliver clear executive-ready dashboards and reporting tools in partnership with the Director.

Retail & Channel Operations Planning

  • Translate top-down financial targets into actionable channel-level operational plans.
  • Partner with Merchandise Planning, Buying, and Merchandising to ensure alignment between financial plans and assortment strategies.
  • Align with Supply Chain and Allocation to ensure inventory flow supports store performance and company targets.
  • Identify operational risks (overstock, understock, margin pressure) and recommend corrective action.

Forecasting & OTB Support

  • Support the Director in building and maintaining annual, seasonal, and monthly reforecasts.
  • Consolidate Open-to-Buy (OTB) plans across categories to ensure alignment with enterprise financial targets.
  • Maintain forecast models that connect sales, margin, and inventory dynamics.
  • Execute scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to support decision-making.

Systems & Process Support

  • Serve as a key user and process owner for planning systems (e.g., Anaplan, SAP, JDA, or similar).
  • Maintain integrity of planning data, hierarchies, and reporting structures.
  • Support enhancements to dashboards, reporting automation, and forecasting tools.
  • Document and improve planning workflows to increase efficiency and visibility.
  • Partner with Finance and IT to drive system improvements and cross-functional data alignment.

Cross-Functional Execution & Alignment

  • Act as the operational bridge between Planning, Buying, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Ensure bottom-up plans align with top-down financial objectives set by leadership.
  • Drive consistency in reporting cadence and planning timelines across departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
  • 4–7+ years of experience in retail planning, FP&A, company planning, or multi-channel operations.
  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs, store economics, and inventory productivity.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Experience working with planning and ERP systems (Anaplan, SAP, JDA, Oracle, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple reporting cycles and deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Exposure to FP&A, corporate strategy, or management consulting.
  • Background in global portfolio management or multi-channel retail businesses.
  • Experience supporting international expansion or global markets.
  • Background in apparel, footwear, or accessories.
