POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

Under the general direction of the Manager of Office Operations and Facilities, the Office Operations Coordinator supports office operations by organizing, monitoring, and coordinating daily logistical operations for the corporate facility.  This position will follow up and complete delegated tasks (which will vary depending on the needs of the company and team), set high quality standards for work, and be responsible for assisting with all mail and package services.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Sort all incoming and interoffice mail
  • Enter all packages into tracking system
  • Deliver all incoming packages to employee desks on floors or designated storage rooms
  • Post and bag all outgoing mail for USPS
  • Arrange messenger requests when needed
  • Assist with mailroom supply ordering
  • Provide offsite and onsite office operations support events and meetings
  • Assist with special event setups and breakdowns
  • Support facilities team when needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in office operations, facilities, or mail services 
  • Proficient knowledge of shipping systems
  • Knowledge of Pitney Bowes postage and Send Suite Tracking
  • Available to work off hours as needed for support  
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of how to use MS Office software, Google drive and Google products, shared files, and tenant work order system/visitors portal
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $45,000 to $62,500.

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision. In addition to your salary, MLB believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package for its employees.
