Location: Culver City, CA (Hybrid)

PlayStation Productions takes the emotive storytelling and immersive gameplay experiences from PlayStation Studios, and spins that shared DNA into movies, TV shows and animations that come to life on the big and small screens.

The PlayStation Productions IP expansion team works closely with Hollywood creatives and game studios to adapt first and third-party titles into feature film and TV shows across genres. Through connecting film/TV talent with game creatives, in-depth involvement in the development and production processes, and collaborating with departments across Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) and Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) the team have created content for PlayStation fans and non-gamers alike. This role will focus on identifying and tracking Film/TV talent with a strong creative vision and game IP for adaptation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Writing script coverage and offering insightful feedback on features, series and other creative materials

  • Thoroughly researching for projects in development and production

  • Identifying writers, directors, production companies, on-screen talent and other potential collaborators

  • General office and administrative support

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree from an accredited institution, projected to graduate by Spring 2025

  • Must be available to work at our Culver City office 3 days a week

  • Must be available to work for 12 weeks from May – August or June – September

  • Internships are available to students who are US citizens or international students with an F-1 visa

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, highly organized and discrete

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and self-motivated with an ability to take initiative

  • A self-starter with a positive personality who is willing to learn

  • Knowledge of entertainment and gaming industries are a plus

 

Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$36.50$36.50 USD
