Job Description

theScore, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PENN Entertainment , empowers millions of sports fans through its digital media and sports betting products. Its media app ‘theScore’ is one of the most popular in North America, delivering fans highly personalized live scores, news, stats, and betting information from their favorite teams, leagues, and players. theScore’s sports betting app ‘theScore Bet Sportsbook & Casino’ delivers an immersive and holistic mobile sports betting and iCasino experience. theScore Bet is currently live in the Company's home province of Ontario. theScore also creates and distributes innovative digital content through its web, social and esports platforms.

As a CRM Specialist, you will draft copy, work with VIP marketing operations and the creative team to collect and verify promotional terms and assets as well as schedule and execute campaigns in our CRM tool. You will build, maintain, and manage customer segments and help oversee the communications calendar for all products. The ideal candidate will be well versed in sportsbook marketing, data-driven, detail oriented and have proven experience in delivering end-to-end CRM campaigns across email, push and in-app mobile messaging.

ABOUT THE WORK

  • Work as part of the VIP CRM team to prepare, schedule and analyze promotions and lifecycle communications for VIPs on both the ESPN BET, Hollywood Casino and theScore Bet brands.
  • Draft promotional copy and create Branch links for deep linking purposes.
  • Work hand-in-hand with both VIP marketing operations, VIP and commercial marketing teams to coordinate logistics and execution of marketing campaigns as well as VIP Events team.
  • Increase customer engagement and retention, reducing churn, and actively moving users further down the loyalty path. Comprehensive understanding of the PENN Play Loyalty program
  • Use data and work closely with the analytics, risk and commercial marketing teams to identify key customer behaviors, assess and provide regular reporting on campaign performance, and continuously identify ways to improve the overall customer experience. 
  • Be a proactive part of the ideation process, contributing in team meetings and strategy sessions.
  • Other duties as required.

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./B.A) in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years CRM experience or equivalent position. 
  • In-depth knowledge of the sportsbook & casino landscape, familiarity with VIP programs and high-value players is an added bonus.
  • Strong copywriting and project management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail is a must.
  • Data-driven and curious about customer behavior.
  • Optimistic, solutions oriented and a great problem solver.
  • Strong team player, always willing to offer support and assistance when required.
  • Collaborative in your approach and good at building strong working relationships.
