Join the team as a freelancer and support us on our mission. The Digital Program Manager will oversee and coordinate the development and execution of FIFA's digital direct-to-consumer initiatives. The newly formed role will be pivotal in ensuring the overall success of project(s) delivery meeting cross-functional goals and ultimately enabling FIFA to engage global audiences across various digital touchpoints. THE POSITION These are your key tasks: Programme Planning: Act as a central pillar of the digital product development team, collaborating closely with Product Managers to develop and execute detailed program plans, outlining project(s) scope, timelines and key milestones. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders, including agencies and internal cross-functional teams, to understand their requirements. Project Execution: Oversee delivery of product development activities, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets and quality standards. Implement strategies for effective communication and coordination with team members to ensure project milestones are achieved and issues are resolved promptly. Problem-Solving & Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and address potential risks or bottlenecks that could hinder project(s) success. Support Head of Digital Delivery to develop and implement contingency plans with effective communication to stakeholders. Process Optimization: Continuously look for ways to improve internal processes and constructively challenge FIFA’s agency partners. Provide best-practice guidance and document recommendations to streamline workflows and enhance project outcomes. Reporting: Deliver Track and report project(s) performance, delivering regular, comprehensive progress updates, highlighting achievements and effectively communicating risks and opportunities upwards and/or laterally across project teams. High Performance Culture: Support Head of Digital Delivery to establish credibility and maintain optimal cross-functional relationships with various FIFA functional areas across multiple territories and time zones. The specific competencies we require for this position are: 6+ years of experience in project or program management, ideally in a broadcast media or IT management consultancy setting. Experience in Sports industry is a bonus but not essential. Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, with involvement in large-scale digital transformation projects a real benefit. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt messaging to a variety of stakeholders. Credible budget forecasting and understanding of wider implications of a project’s financial variance is sought after; practical application of financial modelling, e.g. cost vs. benefit analysis, is beneficial but not essential. Demonstrable experience working with ambiguity and the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities within a dynamic working environment. Demonstrable experience applying problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.  Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, business management or a related discipline. Relevant project management qualifications, e.g. PRINCE2, and applied disciplines. Comfortable coordinating high-profile strategic projects, requiring a blend of technical and nontechnical competencies to navigate a multi-faceted organization. Strong technical ability and familiarity of industry digital delivery standards, specifications, and delivery formats. Comprehensive understanding of digital product development and agile methodology. Data-driven, process-oriented and passionate about innovation; traits that will allow you and your project teams to thrive and deliver results in a fast-moving environment. Capable of problem-solving and working autonomously, whilst remaining collaborative to manage the requirements of stakeholders and cross-functional teams across FIFA, including Media & Partnerships and the newly formed FIFA26 Inc. Fluent in English. Proficiency in any official FIFA language, notably FR or ES, is a benefit. Passionate about digital media and consumer innovation with aptitude to quickly learn new technologies as required. Experience with industry-leading project management tools, e.g. Monday.com, Atlassian Confluence, is expected. Proficient in Word / PowerPoint / Excel as required. Willingness to travel occasionally to FIFA offices in Zurich and Miami. Willingness to work from another location for a period of time, e.g. during FIFA tournament.
