The Director of Clinical Product Strategy will report to our Senior Director of Clinical Product Strategy and work closely with the Product, Product Design, Provider & Clinician Network (including Nursing and Pharmacy), Quality & Safety, MedOps, and Data teams to ensure that Ro designs and implements a clinical workflow and an electronic medical record system that enables providers to provide high quality, effective and efficient care to patients. You are empathetic and enjoy design thinking and problem-solving. You are great at communicating and collaborating with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
Above all, you will be a core member of the tech-org (Product, Product Design, Engineering) cross functional team serving as a clinical subject matter expert, clinical workflow expert, clinical informatics expert, and clinical data developer as we work to improve and provide human-centered solutions to the design of our electronic health record and pharmacy fulfillment software.
What You’ll Do:Conceptualize the ideal experience from the point of view of the provider and the provider-patient relationship and problem-solve on ways to reach this ideal stateServe as the clinical lead and partner to the tech-org to translate in-person workflow to digital health workflow and optimize our homegrown care delivery platforms (Care Center and Pharmacy platforms) for care delivery and for our ability to track, audit, and improve the care we provideEnsure compliance with policies and procedures regarding clinical documentation, and work closely with the legal team to understand legal and regulatory guidanceDocument clinical and informatics requirements and best practices for project and topic areas - and work with a broad clinical team on alignment with these requirementsWork with members of the larger clinical team and be accountable for soliciting input/feedback, alignment, and communicationWork very closely with the product and technology teams during the build-out of functionality, providing input and making sure the functionality meets clinical requirementsAct as a data engineer/developer for projects that may require clinical data or informatics expertise - such as creation of clinical data sets, mapping to standard concepts, creation of files within a relational databaseServe as a liaison between Practice Leadership, Pharmacists, Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Nurses who use the platforms and the tech org that builds and maintains themWhat You'll Bring to the Team:MD, DO or DNP degree or equivalentBoard-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine with 8+ years of work experience, 3+ years in Clinical Informatics/Innovation, 2+ years of direct people management, and 3+ years in direct patient care, telehealth experience is a plusBoard Certified in Clinical Informatics is a plus3+ years experience and skill in using SQL, PL-SQL (or similar) for data query, data engineering, and data maintenance, working in relational database(s), Python experience a plusExperience with innovating, developing, and implementing technology/devices/features within the healthcare environmentExperience with the development and/or management of healthcare data used to drive electronic medical record systems - including controlled/standardized medical vocabularies such as ICD10, SNOMED-CT, Drug Databases, and othersStrong point of view on the benefit of Clinical Decision Support within the workflow and experience with the design and implementation of these systemsOutstanding written and verbal communication skills - including flow-charting and workflow mappingExperience with using information technology and EMRs to deliver healthcare, ideally in an outpatient settingExperience with / knowledge of regulatory requirements such as HIPAA a plusExperience working in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment (startup experience is a plus)Experience working in Snowflake is a plusThe target base salary for this position ranges from $173,000 to $213,000, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.
Ro recognizes the power of in-person collaboration, while supporting the flexibility to work anywhere in the United States. For our Ro’ers in the tri-state (NY) area, you will join us at HQ on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For those outside of the tri-state area, you will be able to join in-person collaborations throughout the year (i.e., during team on-sites).
