ABOUT THE ROLE

Peloton is looking for a Director, Editorial, Social, and Creator Marketing. The role will be responsible for Peloton’s social, creator and editorial strategy and calendar. This position reports directly to the SVP, Brand and Consumer Marketing. In this high-impact role, you will craft storytelling, develop content strategy, and refine our brand presence across multiple platforms. Further, you will collaborate with Marketing, Communications, and Content to develop a comprehensive editorial calendar that will shape the narrative on our social channels, blog, and communications outreach. You’ll be responsible for the briefing and development of social led initiatives, building innovative partnerships with creators, and crafting our editorial voice to ensure consistency and impact. You will constantly strive to build innovative, bar-raising content, inclusive campaign work, influencer programs, and multicultural initiatives. You are comfortable experimenting and leading a roadmap that is flexible, adapting to meet the needs of our Members, businesses, and partner teams. 

We're seeking an innovative leader with expertise in brand communications, social media, digital marketing, and community engagement to drive growth and amplify our brand presence. You will work in close partnership with the Content Social team to refine and implement our strategy on Meta, TikTok, Reddit, X, LinkedIn, and Snapchat to ensure we continuously optimize our go-to-market approach aligned to consumer behavior. You will position our work as culturally and contextually aware to creatively breakthrough and be effective in driving short and long term brand and business results. To accomplish this, you will bring cross-functional strategic influence to the role and assist in mapping out and identifying future opportunities for growth. Collaboration with internal teams, external stakeholders, and creative partners is essential to driving innovative and impactful campaigns. You are both a strategic, ‘big thinker’ who can set the vision for the team and a strong operator, willing to be in the details of tactics and execution. 

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON 

  • Collaborate with Content Social on the strategy, performance reporting, and optimization of Peloton’s owned social channels to improve brand affinity and customer acquisition.
  • Aggregate, prioritize and develop all briefings for Marketing content on social channels; this content includes social plans for campaigns, tentpoles, brand partnerships and product marketing priorities.
  • Stay attuned to cultural trends and translate real-time insights into compelling, on-brand content.
  • Lead creator ambassador program that identifies, partners with, and builds strategic briefs for Peloton ambassadors to create content designed to increase awareness and consideration, and drive new customer acquisition.
  • Oversee complete communications planning for Social and Editorial channels ensuring alignment with the broader brand marketing calendar, integrated campaigns, press priorities, and SEO objectives.
  • Define and track KPIs, develop learning agendas, and lead all aspects of measurement frameworks to continuously refine strategy and execution.
  • Own and lead Peloton’s global editorial strategy, ensuring alignment on key themes and initiative timing across Marketing, Content, and Product teams.
  • Cultivate cross-functional relationships across Marketing, Content, Communications, and Product teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Mentor and develop team talent, driving growth, engagement, and long-term retention.

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • Minimum of 10 years of editorial and social media experience.
  • Experience working in a fast paced and highly matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated track record of success leading social channels.
  • At least 5 years of people management experience, including leading and developing teams of managers and senior managers. Proven ability to provide strategic direction, mentorship, and career development support to leaders at multiple levels within an organization.
  • Experience across global markets.  
  • Background in editorial strategy, content production, or journalism, ideally within a media or newsroom environment.
  • Experience leading large-scale and complex business with senior internal and external partners. 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence peers and partners at all levels.
  • Demonstrates business sense and results orientation.
  • Builder of successful teams and able to nurture and retain talent.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range
$189,606$265,448 USD
