Game Product Managers at Riot lead passionate teams to create and evolve products and experiences for our players. We seek to deeply understand our product’s audience and drive strategy to create value for players and for Riot. We help concept, build, and influence projects at all stages of production. 

As a Director, Game Product Management on the Teamfight Tactics (TFT) team, you will be a member of the game’s leadership team for one of Riot’s largest games, Teamfight Tactics. You will be responsible for building actionable strategies and business plans, and working across Gameplay, Cosmetics, Experiences, and Platform teams to articulate a clear roadmap and requirements to create value for players and the product. You will be accountable for monitoring performance against targets; leading vision and execution for live operations; driving improvements to our processes and systems to support better decision making; and building, managing, and operating a PM team that can meet the monetization needs of the product while partnering with delivery leadership to achieve the team’s goals. Since the role touches on all parts of the product and business, the role will require a leader that has broad experience in PM, strategy, research, analytics, monetization, and game development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain deep strategy & audience understanding for the game and operationalize that strategy by ensuring the development team's efforts are aligned with the critical path of creating a successful product & business
• Develop a comprehensive product strategy for the game that will drive Teamfight Tactics towards being the world’s most played strategy game
• Determine product success metrics and analyze player data, research, sentiment, and market opportunity to determine where the team should focus.
• Hire, mentor, and grow product managers across Teamfight Tactics’ major initiatives to ensure TFT has a best-in-class product org.
• Determine annual and quarterly objectives and key results for the game, providing guidance to teams along the way that drive impact for players and Riot while creating clear organizational accountability.
• Partner with team subject matter experts to deliver high-quality products to players that match desired outcomes. 
• Work across product and organizational divides to gather and share learnings, bringing organizational best practices to the product organization.  

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of development experience within the games industry
• 4+ years of experience in a people management role or product leadership
• Deep, practiced knowledge of product strategy and product development with expertise in aligning product roadmaps with desired outcomes and goals.
• Deep expertise with several of the following craft domains: analytics, research, revenue strategy / monetization design, engagement and retention systems, and player growth
• Excellent product leadership experience, with proven ability to drive clarity, generate energy, and deliver company and global level impact and outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to define success criteria and key performance indicators while leading teams to achieve them 
• Strong managerial expertise in direct mentoring/coaching and offering difficult feedback with respect

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience playing Teamfight Tactics and other titles in the autobattler genre, with a deep understanding of the game and associated systems
• Demonstrated experience taking a holistic systems thinking view of the product development life-cycle and adapting processes accordingly.
• Experience and passion for mobile-first design paradigms and UX principles
