About the Role

The Director of Global Product Quality is responsible for developing, leading, and continuously improving the organization’s global product quality strategy. This role ensures products consistently meet regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and company standards across all markets. The Director will lead cross-functional quality initiatives spanning design, manufacturing, supply chain, and post-market surveillance, driving a culture of excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement worldwide.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Develop and execute the global product quality strategy aligned with corporate objectives
  • Establish global quality standards, policies, and performance metrics across all regions
  • Serve as the executive sponsor for quality improvement initiatives and transformation programs
  • Lead quality governance forums and report on quality performance to senior leadership as required
  • Ensure quality is embedded throughout the product lifecycle: concept, design, development, manufacturing, distribution, and post-market
  • Drive robust risk management processes including FMEA, CAPA, root cause analysis, and change control
  • Monitor and improve key quality KPIs including defect rates, cost of poor quality (COPQ), customer complaints, and field performance
  • Champion the voice of the customer within product development and manufacturing
  • Oversee complaint handling, field actions, and corrective/preventive action processes
  • Collaborate with Commercial and Customer Service teams to ensure rapid resolution of quality issues
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Member Support and Procurement to ensure products’ quality through supplier quality and product integrity
  • Support and align with the supplier quality strategy, including qualification, auditing, performance monitoring, and remediation
  • Align global quality teams across regions to ensure consistency
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global quality organization
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
  • Establish succession planning and talent development programs within the quality function

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field required
  • Master’s degree (MBA or technical discipline) preferred
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ASQ CQE/CQM, Six Sigma Black Belt) preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in product design engineering, product quality, and manufacturing quality
  • 3+ years in a senior leadership role managing global or multi-site quality teams
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or leading global Quality Management Systems
  • Experience working within regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals, automotive, consumer goods, industrial manufacturing) preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into execution
  • Proven track record in leading organizational change and quality transformation initiatives
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, experience and business objectives and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range
$244,000$308,000 USD
