Athletes Unlimited is hiring a Director, Group & Season Ticket Sales to drive season and group ticket sales efforts. We are looking for a true salesperson, someone who will be our top revenue generator. The ideal candidate will be excited to be involved with planning outreach, overall engagement with new and existing season ticket holders, group leaders and ticket sale opportunities and strategies. Some of our fan bases include but are not limited to: travel ball teams and local athletic clubs, schools, colleges, and businesses. While we are a remote company, the ideal candidate will be based in the Chicago-area, with a strong local network. Our employees travel on-site when our leagues are in-season. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Calling, emailing, texting and communicating with various leads to sell group and season tickets.  
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and sales tactics as part of the group & season ticket sales team.
  • Meet and exceed season and group sales objectives while supporting a culture of high productivity.
  • Maintain detailed records for group sales, including seating charts, outreach tracking and sales metrics within Salesforce.
  • Serve as onsite lead through developing and implementing game day activities and group/season ticket holder benefits. 
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with a wide variety of local, national, and international groups. This includes season ticket holders, athletic clubs, schools, colleges, sports leagues, businesses, etc.
  • Generate resources such as phone call talking points, email templates, and call campaigns for the success of the sales team.
  • Attract customers by promoting AU positively, answering questions and addressing concerns as they arise.
  • Work closely with the marketing and grassroots teams.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of related experience in outbound and inbound sales cold calling and emailing in the sports ticketing industry.
  • Willingness to travel to league locations, approximately 2-3 weeks each season
  • Flexible hours while onsite as game days occur on weekends and evenings
  • People person with an excellent ability to build relationships and interact and communicate with customers in a face-to-face environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and follow-through skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Google Suite products.
  • Collaborative and flexible working style with the ability to work both autonomously (remote) and within a team environment (onsite).
  • Chicago-based, with a strong network of potential customers.
  • Previous box office or ticketing experience is a plus. 
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Benefits
